[Each Dollar, Every Heart – Next Redemption] Nee Soon Cares – Each Dollar, Every Heart was launched in April 2025, and we’ve seen strong support from residents. Over 30,000 bundles of household essentials have been redeemed across the first two deals. Many residents have shared how this initiative has helped ease their daily expenses and how it’s brought neighbours closer together. A big thank you to all our partners and volunteers — your efforts make a real difference. The next deal will run from 16 to 29 June 2025 at all Nee Soon CCs, with redemption on 20 July 2025. Do help spread the word so more residents can benefit.

[ Don't discriminate against single unwed parents 🙏🏻 ] It’s 2025 and we should finally ensure that all our housing policies are inclusive and do not discriminate against single unwed parents.  Why do single unwed parents still not qualify for the Parenthood Provisional Housing Scheme (PPHS). Why is their application on a case-by-case basis?  Single parents who are divorced or widowed qualify for PPHS so why not single unwed parents?  I can imagine how stressful it is to be a single unwed parent and our policies should help rather than discriminate against them.  We ought to remember also that when we turn away a single unwed parent, are they really able to just rent in the open market, especially considering that many landlords don’t want to rent to people with young children.  Single unwed parents should be treated the same as others applying for PPHS.  We should end the discrimination and allow them to qualify for PPHS. [Nee Soon Cares – Each Heart, Every Dollar | 3rd Redemption] Last Sunday marked the 3rd round of our Nee Soon Cares – Each Heart, Every Dollar redemption and I had the chance to join our residents at the Community Square @ Nee Soon Link for this meaningful initiative. Over 2,800 residents came by to redeem essential household items worth $20 with just a $1 ticket. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to provide practical support to households. Our NSL grassroots leaders came in full force to ensure a smooth process of redemption for our residents. A big thank you to them! 🙏🏼 Together, we hope to continue bringing practical help to households in meaningful and accessible ways 🫰🏼

[MyNeeSoon Carnival @ Nee Soon South] The largest turnout of MyNeeSoon Carnival was held at MPC@Khatib back in February. It was wonderful to interact with so many of you during the event! For those who missed it, here are some of the upgraded town facilities that were announced during the event: Pathway for Food Delivery Riders, New Benches at Blks 785 to 795, Senior Citizen Corner at Blk 870, High-low Covered Linkway from Blk 784 to 785, Rooftop Garden at Blk 506, Linkway from Blk 863 to Naval Base Primary School, Extended Drop-off Porches at Blks 787, 788, 791 & 792. Over the past couple of years, we have also implemented and collaborated with our community partners for good causes and soft initiatives such as Caregivers’ Resource Centre, Eldercare Diaper Programme, Seniors’ Dialect Radio, SHWAP, Mental Well-being Committee, Caregiving Focus Group, RISE Community, and Intergenerational Bonding through storytelling and newspaper reading programmes.
