History and destiny were never designed to walk together or even agree. History is reflective. It looks back, replays what was, and reminds you where you’ve been. Destiny is prophetic. It speaks forward, calls you higher, and pulls you toward who God has ordained you to become. History asks, “What happened?” Destiny asks, “What’s next?” In this Year of the Stretch, you cannot live divided between the two. Stretching always requires release. You can’t reach forward while holding on to what’s behind you. History may explain you, but it was never meant to define you. Destiny demands movement, faith, and obedience even when it’s uncomfortable. This is the season where God is stretching your vision, capacity, and faith. What worked then may not fit now. So let them go. Let that go. Release what was so you can respond to what’s calling. In this Year of the Stretch, let history inform you but let destiny lead you.

And you’re not gonna guess what her last name is… 🫣 the same as mine — ANDERSON This truly was a God ordained connection. The moment I seen her at church I felt the Lord calling me to her but I made the mistake in the past where I felt a pull towards someone but didn’t ask God what that relationship should look like if it should be one at all. So this time I didn’t rush and I waited on the Lords timing. Some time goes by and she approached me and said I was on her heart and mentioned that my church is starting their discipleship semester. I applied but wasn’t sure if I would be accepted (because there were so many applicants that they mentioned not everyone would be assigned to a mentor) I felt like other people needed it more than me so I was at peace if it wasn’t my time, even tho I had been praying for something like this. I was accepted which I was shocked honestly. But the person I would be assigned to wasn’t revealed yet. It could’ve been anyone. A part of me knew it would be her but truly I just wanted to be poured into. I didn’t care who. And then I found out it was her and I was like wow God!!! You already said it!!! I told my friends & @theladydeanne called me a prophetess, like girl bye LOL. God is truly so kind and so timely. Her and I’s story and seasons are so similar and I’m so thankful for this season of accountability and for someone to walk with me 🤍 So yeah girl, even if you’re a mentor or leader, let someone pour into you the same way you pour into others! You deserve it!

These aren’t just regular buddies - they are 5 men ordained by God to act in the person of Christ and celebrate the sacraments for the people of God. It is one of the greatest blessings of my life to have them and many more as my brothers, and I ask that you pray for 3 of them who will be ordained as priests in a couple months. Mary, mother of priests, pray for these men!

Yesterday, February 7th, 2026, I was ordained into the sacred office of a Presbyter and set apart as a Reverend. What a holy privilege. What an undeserved honor. What a weight of glory. As I continue to process this moment, my heart is overwhelmed with humility and gratitude to God, the One who calls, equips, and entrusts His work into human hands. The words of Jesus to Peter have echoed relentlessly in my spirit: “Feed My sheep.” Not once. Not twice. But three times; a divine emphasis on responsibility, love, and stewardship. Today, I reaffirm my lifelong devotion to God, to His Word, and to His people. I trust Him for the grace to serve faithfully, to lead with purity, and never to fail the Shepherd or the sheep He has placed in my care. I am deeply grateful to my spiritual and biological parents, who under God released this grace upon my life. The moment my father pronounced blessings over me; declaring a double portion of his spirit and the empowerment to raise others; while my mother anointed me with oil, is one I will carry forever. This was a divine impartation. Thank you for your labor, your sacrifices, your covering, and your unwavering example. I do not take this heritage for granted. To my fellow Presbyters who were called into this sacred office alongside me, I celebrate you Sirs. May we stand strong, serve well, and never fail God in our generation. To our newly consecrated Bishop Benson Olaluyi, you are living proof that it truly pays to serve God wholeheartedly. Thank you for your leadership, your consistency, and your example. Congratulations, Sir. And to my partner in life and ministry, my precious wife; thank you for being my strength, my wisdom, and my constant encouragement. All these “security guards” on me. I was such a threat I guess. 🤷‍♂️ This is like the 4 time I’ve been harassed at the Convocation even though I’ve been a member of COCIC for 31 years. I was licensed by Bishop Ford in 1994, Ordained Elder by Bishop GE Patterson and a son to Bishop Charles Edward Blake the greatest leader COGIC ever had. We use to say when I was in his Jurisdiction that, “Bishop Blake doesn’t need COGIC, they need him.” When he was PB he caught them removing me from the platform and made them march me right back up there. Just like they had to do after this.
