I can write posts and novels about my experience and how amazing everything was, but still, one needs to see it with his/her own eyes. Believe me ❤️ Most of the people think, Petra is only the Treasury, the popular spot that everyone sees on the reels and posts on the social media. Guys! Petra is much more than that. Petra is the lost city. With many sights that you can see in your 7-8 hours walk around the city. That is why make sure to be well prepared and do not underestimate this place. I am happy I met beforehand @vann_mrs who had already visited Petra and gave me nice instructions on what I should see and what to focus on, considering I had only one day. That is why I have decided to provide you some tips before you visit this huge but beautiful place and have an image what to expect from it. Have you ever visited it? MÖ 400 ile MS 106 yılları arasında Nebati Krallığı’nın başkenti olan Petra, Fırat Nehri’nden Kızıldeniz’e kadar uzanan geniş bir coğrafyada hâkimiyet kuran Nebatiler için önemli bir ticaret merkeziydi. Depremler, ticaret yollarının değişmesi ve ekonomik sıkıntılar sonucunda zamanla gözden düşen şehir, yüzyıllar boyunca unutulmuş bir hâlde kaldı. 1812 yılında İsviçreli kaşif Johann Burckhardt’ın keşfiyle yeniden gün yüzüne çıkan Petra, kızıl kireç taşına oyulan tapınakları, mezarları, tiyatrosu ve kabartmalarıyla antik dünyanın en etkileyici kentlerinden biri olarak öne çıkar. Kayalara oyulmuş mimarinin en görkemli örneklerini barındıran Petra, büyüleyici atmosferi sayesinde 7 Temmuz 2007’de Dünyanın Yeni Yedi Harikası listesine girmeyi başarmış, 6 Aralık 1985’ten itibaren ise UNESCO Dünya Mirası Listesi’nde korunmaya alınmıştır.
