To file a passport as stolen you either have to personally call the @statedept, fill out a Form DS-64 online, or send snail mail form. So it’s raising eyebrows it’s happening to multiple travelers this week and it would be the worst thing to be caught off guard by. My theory: AI glitches from system upgrades? You recently became able to apply to/renew your passport online, so there’s clearly work being done on the system.
