Part 1 of Must-Buy Items in Japan 🇯🇵💕
Save this for your next Japan trip! Shopping in Japan can feel overwhelming but in the best way possible. It’s truly a paradise for snacks and beauty finds, and with limited luggage space, choosing what to buy isn’t easy 🥲 In this video, I’m sharing my top must-buy recommendations from Japan that are totally worth it. Pro tips:
• Check out Don Quijote, but don’t skip gems like Daiso or Seria
• Always carry your passport for tax-free shopping
• Leave extra space in your luggage (or pack an extra bag for shopping)
• Pick up convenience store merch like 7-Eleven socks and Lawson tote bags
• You can’t go wrong with Canmake beauty products as they are amazing across all categories Also check part 2 of this series #japan #traveljapan #travel #japanshopping #tokyo

perfect 12-day Japan trip🇯🇵must see locations👇 Some tips: Google Maps (works perfectly in Japan), GO or Didi app (their version uber), and Google Translate with offline Japanese downloaded. While Japan is increasingly card-friendly, carry cash for smaller restaurants, temples, and local shops. The trains are your best friend here once you get the hang of the system. IC cards like Suica make local transport effortless💯 Feel free to ask me any questions in the comments😄 Locations👇 🗼TOKYO Shibuya Crossing Shibuya Sky Harajuku Meiji Shrine Senso-ji Temple Asakusa Tokyo Skytree Akihabara Tsukiji Outer Market Ginza teamLab Borderless Shinjuku Gyoen Garden Golden Gai Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building 🗻FUJI Lake Kawaguchi Arakurayama Sengen Park Observatory Tenku no Torii Hirano beach Shimoyoshida Honcho Street ⛩️KYOTO Fushimi Inari Shrine Gion District Pontocho Alley Arashiyama Bamboo Grove Tenryu-ji Temple Iwatayama Monkey Park Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) Ryoan-ji Nishiki Market Kiyomizu-dera Sannenzaka & Ninenzaka Streets Philosopher’s Path 🦌NARA Todai-ji Temple Nara Park Kasuga Taisha Shrine Mount Yoshino 🍱OSAKA Osaka Castle Dotonbori Shinsaibashi Kuromon Market Shinsekai Umeda Sky Building 🏯HIMEJI Himeji Castle Kokoen Garden Are you planning to visit Japan this year?😌 #japan #japantrip #japanitinerary #travel

Hate crowds when you travel? Same. 🙋‍♀️ Japan is incredible — but only if you plan it thoughtfully. In the same order as the video, here are 9 ways I avoided the crowds at some of Japan’s most popular spots and actually enjoyed them 👇 1️⃣ TeamLab Planets, Tokyo 🎨 Book the last time slot of the day. No large groups entering behind you means a much calmer experience. 2️⃣ Shibuya Crossing 🌆 Skip the Starbucks everyone recommends, Instead go to L’Occitane Café! 3️⃣ Temples in Kyoto ⛩️ The famous ones are packed during fall and cherry blossom season. Look beyond the top Google results. Daigo-ji, Otagi Nenbutsi ji, Nisonin are few other temples equally stunning and far less crowded. 4️⃣ Nara Deer Park 🦌 Walk farther into the park. Tour groups stay near the entrance, but the deer are everywhere — and the ones deeper in are much calmer. 5️⃣ Hōkan-ji Temple, Kyoto 🕰️ Wake up earlier than you want to. Kyoto in the morning is quiet, peaceful, and completely different from midday. 6️⃣ Arashiyama Bamboo Forest 🎋 Honestly? Underwhelming. Skip it or Go super early if you still prefer to visit. There are other bamboo groves nearby with actual walking paths and hardly any people. 7️⃣ Kiyomizu-dera, Kyoto 👣 Instead of entering the main area, find viewpoints that look back at the temple. A little extra walking makes a big difference. 8️⃣ Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kyoto ⛩️ Keep hiking. The crowds stop early, but the torii gates keep going. Walk far enough and you’ll have it all to yourself. 9️⃣ Sensō-ji, Tokyo 🌅 Go first thing in the morning. Simple and effective. 📌 Save this for your Japan trip 🇯🇵✨ #travelwithkids #familytravel #familyadventures #takethetrip #traveltips #familytraveltips

Japan planning no one warns you about👇 📌 {comment YES for our free ‘First Timers Guide to Japan’ sent straight your in box} Planning Japan solo is a lot. Fast trains, packed itineraries, and very little margin for error
If you don’t plan each city properly, you end up rushing or missing things entirely Kyoto was the city that caught us out
We lost so much time bouncing back and forth before it finally clicked So instead of planning randomly, we organised Kyoto by proximity, this order makes everything way easier ✋ Heading to Tokyo or Osaka? We’ve mapped them out too But now, let’s focus on Kyoto👇 ✨ FUSHIMI DISTRICT
Fushimi Inari Taisha: Around 15 mins by train from Kyoto Station. This is where you’ll find the iconic red torii gates ✨ MINAMI
Tō-ji: About a 12 min train ride from Fushimi Inari. Home to Kyoto’s tallest pagoda and easy to explore ✨ NAKAGYO
Nijō Castle: Roughly 15 mins by train. One of Kyoto’s most important historical sites
Nishiki Market: Around a 20 min walk from Nijo Castle. Go hungry and aim for lunchtime ✨ HIGASHIYAMA
Gion: About a 15 min walk from Nishiki. Early evening has the best atmosphere
Sannenzaka & Ninenzaka: Another 15 min walk further. Cobblestone streets, teahouses, and our favourite Kyoto area
Yasaka Pagoda: Just 5 minutes further, this is your photo stop
Kiyomizu-dera: A 10 min uphill walk from the pagoda, especially beautiful during cherry blossom season ✨ KITA
Kinkaku-ji: About 30 mins by train from Kyoto Station. The famous Golden Pavilion ✨ UKYO
Arashiyama Bamboo Grove: Roughly 25 mins by train. Allow 1–2 hours here
Adashino Nenbutsu-ji: About a 10 min walk away. A quieter bamboo grove with far fewer crowds ✨ NAKAGYO (EVENING)
Pontocho Alley: Around a 20 min walk from Gion or a quick train ride. Best after dark for food and atmosphere This itinerary works best over 2–3 days
Short on time? Higashiyama and Nakagyo are the two core districts you shouldn’t skip 🚌 Transport tip: Doing a full day? A Kyoto bus day pass saves money 👉 Save & share this for later
