BUWhat if I told you that Razorpay just created a platform that turns everyday problems that people complain about into startup opportunities for founders?
See, everywhere you look in our country, people talk about problems that they wish were solved. But the issue is that most of us just complain and move on with our lives instead of doing something about it.
But for founders, these complaints are actually gold mines, because when they feel that itch, they cannot ignore it until they’ve actually fixed it. The challenge for them is finding the right itch to get obsessed about.
So on National Startup Day recently, Razorpay launched something interesting called Fix My Itch. This is basically a platform that organises problem statements from across India for founders to solve.
The platform uses AI to scrape complaints from Twitter, Reddit, etc, takes direct submissions through a public form, and they even had teams finding on-ground problems that would have never made it online. All of these problems get organised by category so founders can filter and see which problems are actually worth solving.
What makes this interesting is that instead of spending months trying to figure out what to build, founders now have access to real problems that real people want solved. And it’s not just problems, but also insights on how many people face it, whether existing solutions work, and what the potential impact could be.
I think that’s quite smart. Our country has millions of untapped opportunities sitting right in front of us, and something like this could really help the right founders spot them. What do you think?

We talk about resigning from Razorpay after 4 years. On the last day, the entire engineering team came to meet me, and we had a good lunch and played cricket together. Writing the farewell email was more difficult than expected. I had to return my laptop and monitor, which led to a little mess. In the end, I realized that I was leaving the company and wouldn’t be coming back, making it a bittersweet experience.
