On International Children’s Book Day, Mychal stands outside of the Dilley Immigration Detention Center with @lidiaterrazasnews. He says he is there to #ReadThemHome, fighting for the kids. He is inspired by many helpers like Lidia, Ms. Rachel, Mark Ruffalo, and countless others. He encourages you to also be a helper. Lidia has been covering Dilley for some time, explaining there are hundreds of people in the detention center and 1/3 are kids. From small babies like two-month-old Juan Nicolás to two-year-old Kaleth. Liam Conejo Ramos was at Dilley, and there are so many Liams. They have to buy water, a pack of 12 costs $40. Mychal thanks Lidia for everything she’s doing, and she thanks him for being there.
