Robb Stark attends Walder Frey’s wedding to mend a broken alliance, trusting guest right will protect them. During the feast, the song begins and betrayal erupts. Talisa is stabbed while pregnant, Catelyn begs and then is killed, and Robb is murdered by Roose Bolton. Outside, the Stark army is slaughtered. Afterwards the Freys sew Robb’s direwolf Grey Wind’s head onto his body and parade the corpse, mocking the King in the North. The moment destroys the Starks and proves honor offers no safety in this world.
