TOHere is a snack that Roo does NOT recommend. She really is quite picky : we have just learned what she does and does not like after 6 years of her demands.
Roo LOVES corn chips : especially Tostitos.
We bought some *healthier corn crackers for her to try instead. New year, new Roo!
I want to note : Mike and I really like them! They are “Good Thin corn” crackers. We are happy to eat them if she won’t.
They aren’t as salty as Tostitos and not as crunchy : two key things that Roo looks for in her snacks.
Roo was a champ and gave them a second chance, but they did not live up to her standards. I got a look of disappointment and had to redeem myself by giving the girl what she wanted : Tostitos 😆.
The way she took the second cracker told me she was not happy. Instead of committing to a full grab, she took it with just her lips so that she still had the option to drop it 😂. She has done this many times, and will “take” the snack just to drop it to the floor and drive over it 😌. She does not hide her feelings.

TORoo being a healthy queen and having a salad🥗. She was being very impatient so we just gave her the bowl. There was no oil or salt; so she was happy to help herself without making a mess. I swear she literally inhales her food 😂. Is there a salad speed eating contest ?!
Of course Roo had some Tostitos post salad 😉
The lettuce was super cronchy. Roo sure knows how to make a salad sound good!

Somebody please explain to me how Roo is 5 years old .
It feels like just yesterday we were contacted about a newborn goat with badly deformed front legs.
We picked her up right away and quickly realized how severe it was.
After multiple vet consults, x rays and ortho opinions, it was determined that her legs were a congenital deformity and there was no surgical “fix” .
We had made her a little support so she could stand and build back leg strength. We also started the process to get her a custom cart. When she was 6 months old , she had her first fully custom cart. At a year and a half old, she got her newer upgraded one.
Roo is nothing short of amazing.
She is extremely clever and curious.
She lives fully indoors, but occasionally ventures to the barn to remind the other goats that she is the queen. Of course, that is only in absolutely perfect weather with no wind, rain, bugs or high humidity. Being a spoiled house goat means she gets to have high standards of what she deems acceptable.
Roo much prefers the company of the dogs and cats, and will sometimes share her big bed if they are lucky.
Roo is in and out of her cart throughout the day. She has a bell that she rings to come in and out of it. When out of her cart, she has a big mattress bed with food and water. She is able to move around on that without help.
In her cart, she is potty trained to use a washable pee pad.
She’s also trained US with her snack bell : A bell we put on the snack cupboard so she can drive over and ring it for a cracker or chip.
Roos favourite hobbies are glove spinning, glove stealing, trying to run over Bailey, and snacking.
Roos favourite snacks are fig bars, Tostitos, mango smoothies, and watermelon.
Roos best friend is Penny.
Im so thankful to have had 5 years spoiling this smug little goatie girl.
Roo deserves the world, and her little face seals the deal. Every time I tell her “no more snacks” , one look and that becomes “ok… last one” and repeat.
We love you Roobs!

DOSquad foster Apollo had a hot date tonight. 😍
He spent the evening with the lovely Ruby Roo, and we’re pretty sure it was love at first sight. But @thegoldenrubyroo wasn’t the only one vying for Apollo’s attention—Teddy made sure to crash the party in the sweetest way. He was determined to become Apollo’s new bestie and even shared all of his prized lambchop toys!
Shoutout to Johnathan and Katelyn for making this Sunday Funday extra special. Apollo had the best time—and judging by how fast he fell asleep in the car, we’d say it was a 10/10 evening. 😂🙌🏼 @aguyandagoldenn @adventuringwitharchie_
