SWI’m just so tired ‼️ And what’s more tiring is the propaganda and lack of empathy for the Cuban people. You say you care but most of you aren’t even listening. You’re too busy filtering it through your ideologies. We don’t give a fuck about ideologies anymore. I hate everything and everyone and this entire world system.
The truth is if you have not lived in Cuba, or carry Cuban blood, you do not understand. Point. PERIOD. Blank.
Lately I cannot stop thinking about my grandparents, my mother, and what they went through. My grandfather, who was left for dead four shots to his body, his brain is literally blown out, my grandmother searching for a flight begging to be allowed to go on a cargo plane, having to make a choice to leave her daughter behind, thinking that this was only going to last a few months. They never imagined they were never be able to go home again. That’s what most of you don’t understand!

MAI don’t usually get very personal on here, but today I have to.
I was born in Cuba and lived there until I was 14 years old. I know what it feels like to live with shortages, with uncertainty, with fear, and with no control over your future. So when I see what’s happening in Cuba right now, it hurts in a different way. It’s not politics for me — it’s personal. It’s family, it’s memories, it’s my people.
No matter what governments decide, no matter what political moves are made, the ones who always suffer the most are the people. Not the ones in power. The people. The families. The kids. The elderly. The ones who are already struggling to find food, water, medicine, and electricity.
People talk about protests and change, and I’m very proud of the Cuban people because they are incredibly strong and brave. But the reality is, it’s very hard to fight, to protest, to stand up against anything when you are hungry, when you haven’t slept because there’s no electricity, when you’re worried about how your family is going to eat tomorrow.
I love this country that gave me opportunities, but I will always love Cuba and the Cuban people. My heart is with every family going through hard times right now. Cuba doesn’t deserve this, and the Cuban people deserve a future, freedom, and the chance to live with dignity.
