ABIn the Swiss village of Villars-sur-Ollon, Swiss-French artist Saype has used biodegradable paint to create two giant frescoes of children sketching how they see the vast world around them.
The frescoes, which are painted directly on the grass and can last days depending on weather conditions, show a young boy and girl tracing squiggly lines on sketchpads to depict mountains, trees, stars and the moon.
Saype said his frescoes — which at around 3,000 square metres can be seen from the mountaintop and nearby pastures — symbolise the need to reject uniformity and embrace different perspectives.
Saype is mostly known for his Beyond Walls series in which he spray-painted giant hands clasping each other on the ground in 30 different cities around the world, including Paris, Istanbul, Berlin and Cape Town.

セイプさんは石炭やチョークなどの自然顔料で作られた生分解可能な塗料のみを使い、上空から見ないといけないほど巨大なグラフィティ作品を地面などに直接描く手法で知られています。

Saype is known for his massive works of graffiti on grass, best seen from the air, using only biodegradable paints made from natural pigments such as coal and chalk.
