Ma'am, let me tell you about Duke.
That "aggressive" dog spent six years with Marine Special Operations in places I'm not allowed to name. He's a Multi-Purpose Canine—trained in tracking, apprehension, and explosive detection.
He's been shot twice.
Kept working.
The scar on his left shoulder? Shrapnel from an IED in Helmand Province. He found four more that day before they medevac'd him out.
The limp you probably noticed? Earned saving his handler from an ambush. Took three rounds so a 22-year-old kid could make it home to his daughter.
Duke has a Navy Commendation Medal. He has a Purple Heart. He has paperwork that says he's responsible for saving an estimated 40+ American lives.
What he doesn't have? A single bite incident. Ever.
The "snap" you're worried about? The only thing this dog has ever snapped at was enemy combatants trying to kill U.S. Marines.
So no, ma'am. I won't be moving.
But you're welcome to thank him for his service.
He's heard worse from the Taliban.
