PA🐺 Yamato Sensei and the Alpha Wolf
The winter was brutal. A silent, biting cold had seized the northern forests, locking the Great Lake in a thick, unforgiving sheet of ice. Yamato, a seasoned martial arts master and herbalist known for his quiet wisdom and immense strength, was trekking near the lake edge, gathering rare winter herbs.
Suddenly, a faint, desperate howl pierced the frigid air. Yamato stopped, his sharp eyes scanning the frozen expanse. He spotted a dark shape struggling near a small patch of fractured ice.
It was Kuro, the legendary Alpha of the Black Wolf pack—a magnificent creature, feared and respected throughout the territory. Kuro had misjudged the thin ice while hunting and had fallen into the icy water. Now, his powerful body was thrashing in the near-freezing hole, the weight of the thick ice around him preventing him from pulling himself out. Exhaustion and hypothermia were setting in fast.
Yamato wasted no time. He knew the ice was too unstable to walk on directly. He quickly found a sturdy, fallen pine branch—thick and long. Taking a running start from the shore, he slid onto the ice, spreading his weight expertly to minimize pressure.
He slid close to the edge of the hole, close enough to see the panic in Kuro’s golden eyes. "Hold on, mighty one," Yamato murmured, his voice calm yet firm.
With a surge of strength, Yamato thrust the pine branch across the water toward the drowning wolf. Kuro instinctively grabbed the branch between his jaws. Yamato then began to inch backward, pulling the massive wolf's weight against the slick resistance of the ice. It was a fierce struggle, but Yamato’s legendary discipline held true.
With a final, agonizing heave, Kuro was dragged onto the solid ice. He lay there, shivering violently, his breath misting in the air. Yamato didn't approach immediately. Instead, he pulled out his woolen cloak, carefully wrapped it around the exhausted wolf, and gently massaged the stiff muscles in Kuro's legs.
He stayed by the wolf's side for hours, lighting a small, controlled fire on the shore nearby and brewing a warm, fortifying herbal tea for himself. When Kuro finally regained enough strength to stand,..
