But they are NOT protein bars 🚨 Here is what is actually in your so called protein bar — Dates — natural sugar. Spikes your blood sugar. Not a protein source. Nuts and seeds — healthy fats. Maybe 3 to 4 grams of protein total. Makhana — lovely snack. Still not a protein source. Total protein in your so called protein bar? Maybe 4 to 6 grams 😭 Real protein snacks — ✔️ 2 boiled eggs = 12 grams protein ✔️ 100 grams paneer = 18 grams protein ✔️ Bowl of dal = 10 grams protein ✔️ Greek yogurt = 15 grams protein Eat your date balls. Enjoy them. Love them. But eat them as a healthy sweet — not as a protein source. I wish someone had told me THIS 10 years ago.. I used to think I was eating healthy with cereals and smoothies for breakfast. But sugars on an empty stomach can wreak havoc on your gut. This led to my PCOS and irregular periods, and I tried fighting acne with creams and antibiotics, not realizing that food was the answer. 🍽️ Cutting out sugars and enjoying foods like a tasty yogurt bowl with nuts, seeds, and superfoods like spirulina, matcha, ashwagandha, and maca made a huge difference. For a long time, I believed my body was the problem. I struggled with weight, PCOS, gut issues, and a relationship with food that felt confusing and exhausting. Like many people, I tried controlling my body first in an extreme way - hardly ate, followed generic diet plans, pushed to the point of burnout, tried to “fix” it quickly. But the real shift happened when I stopped fighting my body and started understanding it. Hormones. Gut health. Insulin resistance. Stress. Emotions around food. When those pieces began to make sense, my body finally started responding. The healing was slow, but it was real and mainly because the mindset, habits, and health underneath it changed. That journey is why I built this practice. Because no one should have to feel lost in their own body. What I do now is help people step back and actually understand what their body is asking for - through physiology, bloodwork, nutrition, habits, mindset and nervous system support. It’s not about forcing the body into change. It’s about creating the conditions where the body can regulate, heal, and respond the way it was designed to.
