The CCTV in your home, office and shop has just been banned... Not all CCTVs, but CCTVs by major companies like TP Link, Hikvision and Dahua cannot be sold from 1st April in India... This is because these Chinese CCTV cameras use chips which have not been certified or approved by the Indian Govt... The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology requires that all such surveillance and security products - their hardware, software and the source code must be disclosed, approved and certified by the govt... But Indian brands like CP Plus, Qubo and Sprash may continue to sell as their products have been certified and they use chips from Taiwan... There are three things to note because of this... 1/ Firstly, it shows that India does not trust any of this surveillance equipment coming from China especially because these companies refused to share the source code 2/ Second, if you have CCTV cameras of any of these companies, you may face difficulty getting warranty or repair in the future as spare parts may now not be available easily, so if you have to replace them, get Indian ones even if they offer heavy discounts on Chinese brands... 3/ Third, it presents a huge gap in the market for more domestic players to come into this space and start surveillance CCTV and camera equipment business - for which you should definitely look at the BIS and MeitY guidelines for compliance. #casarthakahuja

“Big update — CCTV cameras in India are not fully banned, but major brands like Hikvision, TP-Link and Dahua can no longer be sold from April 1st. Why? Because these cameras use chips and systems that haven’t been approved by the Indian government. Now, all surveillance products must be certified, with their hardware, software, and even source code verified. What does this mean for you? First, it’s a clear signal — India is tightening security and doesn’t fully trust foreign surveillance tech. Second, if you already have these cameras, getting service or replacements might become difficult in the future. And third, this opens a massive opportunity for Indian brands like CP Plus and Qubo to grow in this space. So if you’re planning to install CCTV — choose wisely.”

India Bans Chinese CCTV Brands from April 1: India is set for a major shift in its surveillance technology market from April 1, 2026, as the government tightens rules on CCTV cameras—effectively pushing out several Chinese brands from the country. India may block Chinese CCTV brands like Hikvision, Dahua and TP-Link from April 1 as new STQC certification rules come into force, boosting domestic players and tightening cybersecurity norms.

India CCTV Crackdown 🚫📹 India has tightened security rules by making it mandatory for all internet-connected CCTV cameras to pass strict government certification. Big brands like Hikvision, Dahua Technology, and TP-Link failed to meet these requirements, leading to a halt in their sales from April 1, 2026. While existing cameras will continue working, future updates and support may become limited. The move aims to reduce cybersecurity risks and boost trusted, locally compliant brands in India. Chinese CCTVs to be banned from selling in India..! Starting April 1, 2026, India has effectively banned many Chinese-manufactured, internet-connected CCTV cameras—notably brands like #HikVision, #Dahua, and #TP_Link—by refusing to certify devices using Chinese components. This move strengthens data security by enforcing strict certification (STQC) against remote access vulnerabilities and encouraging local brands.. This video explains the reasons behind the ban on Chinese CCTV cameras in India :

BIG MOVE BY INDIA🇮🇳 India to bar uncertified CCTV sales from April 1 — hitting Chinese giants like Hikvision, Dahua Technology, and TP-Link. Key impact: • Devices with Chinese chipsets may fail certification • Security concerns take priority • Domestic players already holding 80%+ share get a major boost This isn’t just regulation. It’s tech sovereignty in action.

India has officially banned the sale of Chinese CCTV brands Hikvision, Dahua, and TP-Link from April 1, 2026. The move is driven by new cybersecurity rules requiring Standardization Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) approval, which these companies have failed to obtain. Existing cameras will continue to work, but new sales are blocked. As India is strongly trying to go vocal for local and trying to invent its own models of electronics and other devices to drive the economy to buy bits of its own country and the export of these goods from other countries, India moves to decline Chinese CCTV sales, which aims to strengthen domestic manufacturing and reduce reliance on Chinese imports in sensitive sectors like surveillance. This move will take place from April 1st to April 30th and will stop the distribution of these catches in the market. People who are using it will have issues with it, but future sales will be stopped. And it will also make domestic manufacturers and global players (like Bosch, Allus, and Ywell) gain market Using these products has the lack of security breach as foreign entities access footage, and this will determine long-term gain for Make in India surveillance solutions and stronger cybersecurity standards. This ban is not just about trade—it’s a cybersecurity safeguard and a strategic move to promote domestic tech. https://scriblymind.blogspot.com/2026/04/india-bans-hikvision-dahua-tp-link-cctv.html #instagood #reelkarofeelkaro #explorepage #reels #views

1 April,2026 India has enforced stricter rules for internet-connected CCTV cameras from April 1, effectively restricting Chinese surveillance brands such as Hikvision, Dahua and TP-Link. The move follows concerns that widely deployed Chinese-made cameras could enable remote data access from sensitive Indian locations. 🔷Chinese Cameras Had Major Presence India has more than 70 million CCTV cameras in operation, with earlier estimates showing around 60% share linked to Chinese brands. These devices are installed across homes, shops, offices, airports, railways, banks, smart cities and government facilities, capturing continuous real-time surveillance data. 🔷How Data Risks Can Arise Modern CCTV cameras function as connected IoT surveillance nodes capable of: Streaming live footage to cloud servers Allowing remote login access Receiving firmware updates from external networks Routing data through overseas infrastructure Collecting metadata such as location and timing If controlled by foreign vendors, such systems could potentially expose sensitive surveillance feeds. 🔷New Certification Rules From April 1 India has made STQC security certification mandatory for internet-connected CCTV cameras. Under the new framework: Chipset origin must be disclosed Backdoor access testing required Data routing verification mandatory Cybersecurity audit compulsory Non-certified cameras cannot be sold or imported Cameras using Chinese chipsets or software may face difficulty receiving approval. 🔷Market Shift Underway Chinese brands lose new approvals Indian manufacturers gain market share Supply chain shifting to non-Chinese components Certified cameras may cost 15–20% more Domestic production expected to expand 🔷Why This Matters CCTV networks capture continuous visual intelligence across critical infrastructure. Restricting foreign-controlled systems reduces potential data exposure, strengthens national security and promotes trusted domestic manufacturing. The April 1 rules mark a shift toward secure, locally compliant surveillance systems in India. Follow @the_bharat__varsha #breakingnews #india #viral #modi #viralreels
