Do you get it yet? You see kids playing… I see athletes training. Just cause it’s a little novel or out of your box doesn’t mean it’s not doing exactly what it’s supposed to do It is a FACT you’ll run faster chasing or racing. That’s not up for debate. Add in some fun and variability and now you have sports training for young athletes Sorry we’re not boring… #ltad #athleticdevelopment #youthsportstraining #sportsperformancetraining #kidathlete

This short video clip captures a hilarious and unexpected moment during an outdoor basketball drill. It begins with a young player focused on a ball-handling exercise, weaving through cones under the watchful eye of a trainer. However, the intensity of the workout takes a comical turn when the player suddenly trips over a cone, loses his balance, and faceplants directly into the dirt. The trainer’s reaction is immediate and priceless; he stops coaching, stares in disbelief, and lets out a shocked exclamation as he processes the clumsy wipeout. The video is edited with a raw, candid feel that highlights the “fail” aspect of the drill. The trainer’s genuine, wide-eyed look and the sheer suddenness of the fall create a moment of unintentional comedy that resonates with anyone who has ever had a clumsy moment in sports. The serious, focused environment of a training session provides a sharp, funny contrast to the total loss of coordination. This candid interaction offers a lighthearted glimpse into the unpredictability of sports training. It reinforces the idea that even during disciplined practice, moments of spontaneous humor can occur. The timing of the fall and the trainer’s stunned silence turn a brief lapse in footwork into a viral snapshot of athletic irony and playful honesty.

🤣 A trampoline is a fun and exciting piece of equipment used for jumping and exercise. It consists of a strong fabric stretched tightly over springs within a metal frame, allowing people to bounce high into the air. Trampolines are popular among children and adults for recreation, fitness, and even in gymnastics and sports training. Jumping on a trampoline improves balance, coordination, and strength while providing great enjoyment. It’s a safe and healthy way to stay active when used responsibly. (Matt Patterson via ViralHog)

Larry Wheels is one of the most fascinating figures in modern fitness because his story goes far beyond lifting heavy weights. Rising from a difficult childhood marked by instability and limited resources, Larry transformed pain into purpose through bodybuilding and powerlifting. His early rise on social media shocked the fitness world — not just because of his unbelievable strength, but because fans watched his journey unfold in real time. From deadlifting record-level weight to constantly pushing new training styles, Larry built a reputation as someone obsessed with self-improvement, openly sharing both victories and setbacks with millions who relate to his grind. What truly separates Larry from many fitness influencers is his willingness to evolve and stay transparent. Over the years, he has explored powerlifting, bodybuilding, arm wrestling, and even combat sports training, showing that reinvention is part of his identity. He openly discusses injuries, mental challenges, and lessons learned, which makes his audience feel connected to the human behind the physique. Whether he’s chasing new athletic goals or rebuilding after setbacks, Larry Wheels represents resilience — proving that strength isn’t just measured by how much you can lift, but by how many times you’re willing to start over and grow stronger each time. #larrywheels #chrisheria #explorepage #reelsviral #reels

Dagestan-Style Wrestling Explosiveness 🤼♂️ This reel shows raw freestyle wrestling training — explosive bridges, belt grips, mat starts, and powerful transitions that define the famous Freestyle Wrestling culture coming out of Dagestan. Athletes drill intense movements like bridges (прогиб), side control pressure, rear belt grips, and fast starts from the mat — building the kind of strength and explosiveness wrestlers need for real matches. What this training develops: • Explosive hip and core power • Neck and bridge strength • Fast mat transitions • Grip strength and control • Agility and reaction under pressure From a performance perspective, many of these movements act like plyometric training for combat sports. Dynamic bridges and fast mat drives mimic the rapid force production needed for takedowns, scrambles, and escapes. That’s why wrestling systems from places like Dagestan focus so much on bodyweight power, repetition, and movement efficiency from a young age. Coaching insight: Start with controlled bridge progressions and safe partner drills before adding explosive transitions. Building strength and mobility first helps young wrestlers develop power without risking neck or spine injuries. Who’s training freestyle wrestling this week? Drop a 🤼 if you love combat sports training. Shoutout to the Dagestan wrestling culture for the incredible work ethic — more combat sport training breakdowns like this! 🎥 @alikhan_mayrukayev94 📍 Myokinetix Performance & Rehab - East Hanover, NJ 📞 (973) 585-4990 #DrNattyReacts #Myokinetix #DrNatty #FreestyleWrestling #Dagestan #WrestlingTraining #CombatSports #ExplosivePower #YouthWrestling #TrainSmart

First let me start by saying even these can be better! Proper plyometrics are extremely technical, the shock method of depth jumps (not to be confused with the hurdles here), and the advanced progressions of depth jumps are as advanced as you can get in sports training. Just because you can jump onto a 42" box does not mean you are doing so properly. In fact I would estimate that the majority of athletes and coaches, maybe as many as 90%, are missing critical details in the realm of plyometrics. Posture, head position, ankles, vision, the speed, timing, and pattern of the arm swing, extension/flexion, toe strike, are a few of the details you may not have even thought of, but i will be including in our online seminar coming soon. This video addresses one key area many people do not address, which is apparent in their videos... The spinal integrity, the position of power, trunk stability, that is vital for plyometric mastery.... Why plyometrics? Because there is no other exercise that will excite the nervous system to be able to produce the rate of force development. RFD is the ultimate deciding factor in sports mastery. If the majority of your training is slow, or has improper movement patterns for jumping you are de-training for plyometrics. #speedofsport #plyometrics #explosivestrength #jumphigher #varticaljump #offseason #plyos #hurdles #wod #sportstraining #strengthtraining #strengthandconditioning #sportsperformance #abday #legday #speedkills #proprioception #fitness #sportsspecific #athletes

Taking the middle ground to bridge skills and athletic performance. 🇩🇪 It was a lot of fun to explore how the court and weight room connect with @go2themax_pt at @eliteathletesbe. On this day, we did a kind of shooting workout that emphasized many of the same qualities you might talk about on leg day or plyo workout. What makes these drills “smart” is the sensory challenge & feedback. Through, jumps, spins, and wraps, you can use physics as a tool to sculpt and refine your movement, so the biomechanics are sound. This is the logic of Holger Geschwindner, who used a background in basketball, physics, mathematics, and computer science, to reverse engineer a training system to produce a perfect shot. Additionally, because this is German training, it is seasoned with concepts and theory that originated in Germany. In fact, it can be traced back to Germany where the ideas of the Godfather of motor learning theory, Nikolai Bernstein, were made into an educational & pedagogical approach. We just don’t hear much about this yet because most of the original texts aren’t in English. Hirtz, Meinel & Schnabel, from the 1970s–2000s, transformed the world of sports by translating the theories of Nikolai Berstein into something that could be put into throrough educational practice. Some texts: Hirtz, Peter. Koordinative Fähigkeiten im Sport. Volk und Wissen Verlag, 1976. Meinel, Kurt, and Günter Schnabel. Bewegungslehre – Sportmotorik: Abriss einer Theorie der sportlichen Motorik unter pädagogischem Aspekt. 12th rev. ed., Meyer & Meyer Verlag, 2007. Why their work is relevant today is because, like ecological dynamics theory, it shifted the field of sports training away from a rigid, prescriptive, “this is the only way” approach, arguing that instruction should allow for individual adaptation. However, their theories offer a framework that still uses “exemplary models” as reference points. It’s not “either-or,” it’s “and.” So, there exists, in fact, a rigorous scientific model that may reconcile the divide between polarized views of basketball training, but it’s in German. Fortunately, there are a lot more tools now to begin accurately understanding it! MYBG ❤️ 愿你伟大
