DAYou’ve been there: you walk backstage or into storage and it’s chaos. You sigh, make a note to retrain your team… but first, stop and take responsibility.
If there’s no clear home for something, you can’t be mad when people put it where they think makes sense (which might be the floor). Make it painfully obvious where things belong, and make the right place the easiest place.
Then you can hold people to the standard… but not before the standard exists.
These cable hooks (2x4s and about $50 all up) have saved us so much time and stress. You can see everything at a glance, it’s faster to put things away, and it stays clean with minimal effort. Maybe two decent cleanups a year, tops. One of our most “set it and forget it” systems.
