🌊 SUP Race con stance surf: cuando la técnica manda más que la fuerza. Remar en postura de surf —un pie adelantado y otro retrasado— cambia por completo la mecánica del gesto. El reto no es la potencia… es mantener el catch a la misma altura en ambos lados. Para lograrlo, la rotación de cadera y torso en el lado frontside debe ser amplia, limpia y bien coordinada. Si no aparece esa torsión, el catch se acorta, la pala entra tarde y empiezas a perder metros sin darte cuenta. Aquí entra un concepto clave en IOSUP: 👉 la disociación de palancas. Brazos, hombros y cadera deben poder trabajar de forma coordinada pero independiente. Sin rigideces. Sin bloqueos. Cuando esta capacidad está bien entrenada, el stance surf deja de ser una limitación y se convierte en una herramienta de estabilidad y eficiencia en carrera. 💡 TIP IOSUP: si notas que tu pala entra más cerca del cuerpo en un lado, no fuerces el brazo. Amplía la rotación y deja que el catch aparezca solo. If you're just starting out with stand up paddleboarding, keeping your board in the direction you want to go or changing direction can be tricky. Save our top tips for paddling forwards in a straight line and turning ⬇️ 🌊 Hold your paddle so that the blade bends away from you. Make sure your hands are wide apart on the shaft, this creates a lever so you can glide through the water easier. 🌊 Fully submerge your paddle blade. The greater the surface area you use to pull yourself forward, the more power you'll be able to generate per stroke. 🌊 Keep the paddle shaft and blade as vertical as possible when paddling forward. 🌊 Try to keep the paddle as close to the side of the board as possible. 🌊 One of the easiest ways to turn is to put your paddle in at the nose and draw a big semi-circle around towards the back of your board. Taking off at the right spot is SOO important. To far on the shoulder and we end up paddling harder than we need to , and creating a inefficient habit. 2️⃣ Body Position, Forward on position will help maintain weight over the middle of board and help keep your glide. It's easy to build speed if the board is gliding through the water efficiently. 3️⃣ Reach!!! Keep the catch phase of the stroke in front of you! This can assist number 2 a forward stroke PULLS you through the water and keeps you front on. These details work for me.
