A child’s hands shouldn’t hold tools of labor; they should hold tools of learning. 🎒✏️ Every child in our community deserves a desk, not a workstation. At TROF, we are working tirelessly with local leaders and the government to ensure work tools are replaced with textbooks. Child protection isn’t just a policy—it’s a promise we make to the next generation. Join us in building a future where “Back to School” is the only option. 💬 Share this video if you believe every child belongs in the classroom! raymondOfodufoundation.com #EndChildLabor #EducationForAll #TROF #ChildProtectionNigeria #FutureLeaders #ProtectOurChildren #SocialImpact #NGO #NigeriaYouth

Nearly 138 million kids across the world are still affected by child labour practices, UNICEF reports suggest. They account for almost eight per cent of children globally. Children facing hazardous work situations exceed 54 million and raising awareness is one of the key steps to illuminating the problem and discovering an effective solution. Luckily, the overall number of kids affected by child labour practices has decreased by 25 million in the period from 2020 to 2024. Since 2000, the reduction is more than 100 million children. Ending child labour requires a comprehensive approach that involves multiple entities, from governments to social organisations, and individual family units. The most effective practices include strengthened social protection, economic support, the provision of decent work opportunities for adults, the provision of free and compulsory education, enhancements in legal frameworks, and better law enforcement. For a consecutive year, the British School of Sofia (BSS) has been an active participant in CNN’s My Freedom Day Campaign. #MyFreedomDay is an annual, student-driven initiative that raises awareness about modern-day slavery, including forced labour and child labour. This year, the initiative celebrates its 10th anniversary under the slogan Progress and Obstacles in Combatting Modern Day Slavery. Forced child labour, especially in hazardous circumstances, is considered a modern form of slavery. It very often includes exploitation, a fact that we all need to understand and address on an ongoing basis. Here’s how our youngest learners raise awareness. We hope that the endearing message will highlight a major problem, making all of us think about those in need and take action. #myfreedomday

🌍 Reflecting on Human Rights Day 🇿🇦 This past Saturday, we commemorated Human Rights Day — a reminder that the rights we celebrate must be lived and protected every day, especially for our children. Children’s rights are human rights. The right to education. The right to safety. The right to be heard. The right to basic needs. The right to a name and identity. As we move into this new week, let’s remember: a society that protects its children protects its future. Let us continue to stand together to ensure that every child in South Africa grows up safe, supported, and empowered. ✨ #HumanRightsDay #ChildRights #SANCRC #ProtectOurChildren #SouthAfrica
