Ingredients - 200g warm milk - 25g melted unsalted butter - 1 egg (room temperature) - 50g sugar - 150g glutinous rice flour - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp pandan extract Method 1. Whisk Liquids: Combine the warm milk, melted butter, and egg until smooth. 2. Add Dry Ingredients: Mix in the sugar and glutinous rice flour until a batter forms. 3. Pour the batter through a sieve to remove any potential lumps and ensure a silky texture. 4. Flavor: Divide the batter into equal parts. Mix vanilla extract into one half and mix pandan extract into the other half. 5. Bake: Fill the prepared molds and bake for 20-30 minutes until set. These are best enjoyed warm. Butter Rice Cakes ✨🫶🧈🧸 Trying to make the viral butter rice cake recipe & i’m lowkey obsessed. I’ve already made this recipe 2 times & every time I make it somehow I end up finishing the whole batch coz it’s that good! The texture gets nice and crispy on the outside & chewy like mochi on the inside. And the best part it’s not too sweet! Recipe: •75 gr unsalted butter •201 ml milk •1 egg •75 gr sugar •35 gr condensed milk •1 tbsp vanilla extract •4 gr salt •97 gr glutinous rice flour •52 gr tapioca flour 1. Add butter & milk in a pot on low heat (not boiling) just until the butter melts & stir so it doesn’t burn. 2. In a separate bowl mix egg, sugar, condensed milk, vanilla extract the slowly add the butter milk mixture. 3. Whisk in the flours & strain for smooth texture. 4. Grease your moulds with plenty of butter & pour in your mixture. (I think the metal moulds work better because it heats more evenly but I could only find cute rubber ones). 5. Bake at about 180 - 200 degrees for 15 - 20 mins or until golden brown. (Mine took a bit longer because or my oven/mould) If you’re reheating it, I recommend air frying it so it becomes nice & crispy again but still chewy on the inside. #buttermochi #butterricecake #shanghaibuttercake #버터떡 #viralrecipe
