So apparently being consistent actually works?! Jan 11 vs Feb 28. The difference? ≈ 45 second faster /km, 40 extra minutes and effectively the same heart rate. How? ✅ 1x zone 2 run per week ✅ consistently running - Tired, stressed, angry, happy, sad… not just doing it when it felt good ✅ Strength training 3x week to mitigate injuries and improve running form. ADVANCED V BEGINNER ALTERNATIVES TO MY FAVOURITE HIIT EXERCISES! 💪 One Kayla is never enough.... so here is two 🤣🤣 OH, and a cheeky little surprise at the end 👶 I can't stress enough how important it is to listen to your body when exercising... especially when training at a high intensity. It is GREAT to push yourself! But sometimes, it's actually best to go back to basics and focus on your technique, balance and strength before moving to the advanced version of an exercise. It's also absolutely fine to be doing an advanced version one week, and a beginner alternative the next. Sometimes our bodies are sore, injured or recovering and we need to SLOW it down and take it EASY... which I'll admit, I'm personally NOT great at haha.
