At 14, I spent 8 weeks kicking at every practice, not by choice, but because my shoulder hurt too much to pull. I thought it was just “overuse.” But it wasn’t. It was one tiny trigger point locking up my mobility and shutting down the muscles I needed for a strong stroke. Nobody checked it. Nobody released it. So every set I swam only made the problem worse. When I finally learned how to release that trigger point, and keep it from coming back, everything changed. The pain vanished, my pull felt powerful again, and my confidence shot through the roof.
