Elon Musk has reportedly weighed in on the complex factors and underlying truths that have led to the recent government shutdown. His commentary delves beyond the surface-level political rhetoric to explore the systemic issues and potential impacts on technology and national infrastructure. Musk’s perspective offers a unique, often controversial, look at the mechanisms driving these large-scale political and economic events. What are your thoughts on this? It's so easy to live blissfully unaware of the systemic issues and racism that lie in this very community and the disabled community. It's even more imperative to talk about and bring these issues to light knowing that the US is trying to erase BIPOC voices and people from history and progress. Chloe Hayden and Paige Layle are both just ONE representation of autism, and it's their own. They do not speak for nor do they really discuss difficult topics that affect the community accurately. I'm sure they're both nice, but both have enormous white privilege and pretty privilege opening doors for them while they're simultaneously closing the doors behind them to any other marginalized voices. If you're going to call yourself an autism advocate or educator, you need to actually reflect on how your actions, posts, sponsors, etc. represent this very diverse demographic. @sienna.stims #fyp #whitewomen #autism #chloehayden #paigelayle #autismawareness #autismacceptance #actuallyautistic #bipoc #neurodiversity

Three things about Minnesota’s political and institutional climate 1. Moral outrage is being selectively applied When public officials and media energy are aimed more aggressively at scrutinizing an ICE officer’s split-second self-defense decision than at systemic, long-running fraud allegations involving public funds, it creates the appearance that: • Individual actions tied to immigration enforcement are treated as morally suspect by default • Large-scale misuse of taxpayer money is treated as abstract, bureaucratic, or “uncomfortable” That imbalance tells people that symbolic politics outrank material harm. 2. Narrative protection > accountability consistency Fraud cases tied to politically sensitive communities (like the Somali nonprofit/education sector in Minnesota) collide with preferred narratives about: • Diversity programs • Refugee success stories • Government-funded equity initiatives Aggressively pursuing those cases risks: • Undermining trust in grant oversight • Admitting institutional failure • Fueling politically inconvenient conversations So the safer move, politically, is to redirect outrage toward an individual actor—especially one associated with federal enforcement power. 3. Institutions appear to punish “wrong roles,” not wrongdoing To many observers, the takeaway isn’t “Minnesota cares about justice,” but: Minnesota cares about who you are and what you represent more than what actually happened. That perception erodes trust because: • Fraud is slow, boring, and systemic, but massively damaging • A use-of-force incident is fast, emotional, and media-friendly • Only one of those reliably generates outrage clicks and ideological alignment The broader signal. The message received by many people is: “We will interrogate force used to enforce the law more aggressively than we will interrogate the misuse of public money, so long as the misuse occurs inside protected political lanes.” That doesn’t just frustrate Americans with brains. It frustrates anyone who believes accountability should scale with harm. #veteran #army #minnesota

This has been a constant theme in clinic since January 1st. January isn’t random. It’s when insurance companies reset the rules, and stable patients pay the price. Medications that worked in December are suddenly denied in January not because the science changed, but because contracts did. Follow the money. Share this post. Follow me as I continue to call out the systemic issues that impact patients on the regular. #healthcare #publichealth #healthinsurance #primarycare

Two things can be true at the same time Yes, there are systemic issues 🏫 Schools are underfunded 💸 Teachers are overwhelmed 🧠 Families are stretched thin 💔 Policies are often made far from the classroom 📄 Acknowledging that matters 🤍 Where I differ is here ⬇️ Systems do not develop regulation, attachment, communication, or coping skills. People do 👥 From a developmental lens 🧠, those skills are built through repeated relationships, consistency, modeling, and connection in the early years 👶🏽🤝 Not through curriculum. Not through policy. Not through testing. Schools respond to behavior 🏫 Homes shape behavior 🏡 That is not blame. That is brain science 🧠 Testing has a place. Evaluations can open doors to services and supports 🚪 But testing is not a cure ❌ And it does not fix the root 🌱 When we test without addressing environment and connection, we risk medicalizing adaptation. Children adapting to chronic stress, limited connection, inconsistent boundaries, or overstimulation can look symptomatic without being disordered ⚠️ Accountability is not blame ☝🏽 Accountability is recognizing influence. Systems can be broken 🛠️ And parents still have responsibility within them. We cannot outsource emotional regulation, communication skills, self-control, or attachment to schools or evaluations ❗ No policy replaces relationship 🤍 Saying “it’s systemic” explains strain, but it cannot be the end of the conversation 🗣️ When responsibility becomes too diffused, children get labeled instead of supported, and nothing actually changes 🚨 My stance is not anti-teacher 🍎 Not anti-parent 👨‍👩‍👧 Not anti-system 🏛️ It is pro child development And development begins in relationship 💞 Let’s keep having this conversation, honestly, compassionately, and without blame 🤍 #ChildDevelopment #BrainScience #MentalHealthMatters #ParentingSupport #DoBetterForKids

Registered nurses are one of the only profession’s that have this belief that they can’t advance their career without that extra graduate degree or can’t have their own business - this is false. I pulled my acceptance to NP school two weeks before it started. “Well, HoW do you thInK YouRe GoInG tO get OuT of bEDside?” 😒😒 You are absolutely able to own your own business, see your own patients, or run your own practice (as long as you are within your scope). Articles posted pre-Covid, go into detail about how registered nurses typically do not get the support, status, or recognition they deserve. Imagine what the articles would say now 🥲 Night shifters are 4x more likely to make a mistake and are at a higher risk for developing chronic disease. 45% of nurses choose to leave the profession within a few years of qualifying, 17.5% of that is within the first year. It’s no secret that we are underpaid, overworked, often abused by patients and families, and are scape goats for systemic issues. I have had the privilege to work at some wonderful places with amazing resources and staff. Unfortunately, this is few and far between. I can think of 1 or 2 places out of 13 that I considered myself safe at while at work. All of this to say - we have more power than we think we do. We have the ability to use our skills and knowledge for lifestyles that benefit and serve us while still helping others. Home health services, freelancing, wellness lounges, coaching, education and training, telehealth, medical sales, online nursing, legal consulting.. Nursing is a much broader profession than what they want you to believe. And you can do great things. Trump wants to fix high beef prices by... importing foreign meat? Instead of tackling corporate meat monopolies or supporting struggling U.S. farmers, he's talking up buying beef from Argentina. When asked about the potential harm to American producers, Trump brushed it off by praising Argentina's president and vaguely talking foreign policy. Meanwhile, he’s claiming success on gas prices and inflation while avoiding responsibility for the economic strain many Americans still feel. It’s a textbook example of distraction politics—boosting a foreign market to claim a quick win at home while ignoring the systemic issues hurting working people here. #beefprices #foodinflation #trumpnews #uspolitics #meatindustry #farmerstruggles #argentinabeef #economicjustice #trumpadministration #groceryprices

That feeling when you're working harder than ever, yet homeownership feels like a relic of your grandparents' time. The raw frustration bubbling up from today's young workers is about more than just effort—it’s about a fundamentally unequal playing field. Hearing firsthand how high personal tax burdens clash with reports of massive, untaxed funding streams creates a potent anger. This perspective cuts deep into the current economic disconnect, where dedication doesn't equal opportunity. It’s a vital look at the financial reality check facing millions navigating the collision of the housing crisis and perceived systemic unfairness. #EconomicAnger #HousingCrisis #FinancialInjustice #Taxation #GenerationalGap #SystemicFailure

Black history, African American communities, single Black mothers, systemic responsibility, community accountability — this clip challenges the narrative that blames Black mothers instead of addressing broader community responsibility. In this video, the speaker breaks down how society unfairly scapegoats single Black mothers while ignoring the roles of institutions, leadership, and collective responsibility within Black communities. You’ll learn: • Why single Black mothers are unfairly blamed • How institutions escape accountability • What community responsibility really means • Why blaming individuals ignores systemic issues • How collective action supports Black children This clip is shared for education and reflection, not to attack individuals. #blackhistory #africanhistory #blackfamilies #socialawareness #community #education

I forgot to tag @ladyizdihar earlier! Her video goes into depth in a more historical sense on this topic of the lack or organizing in the U.S., and also offers some wonderful hope :) I choose the word ‘excuses’ instead of ‘explanations’ because all of the described ‘explanations’ in such videos are used in defensiveness, and are used as a way to move blame away from individuals. As someone who understands the systemic reasons why the U.S. is the way that it is today, I also understand that the project against the American left has been over a century in the making. Yes- it is purposefully more difficult to organize. But ask yourself- was that an excuse for the peope of the world who were forced to defend their homeland against the terror the American empire? Was that an excuse for African Americans, who were literally chained by this empire- and who freed themselves of said empires? Who built extensive survival networks, created entire towns- which were outrighr destroyed by the U.S. government. Only to rebuild once again. Did the Black Panthers see the state of the U.S. and sit complaining about how difficult it was to make change? Or did they understand their materially reality, and actually fight the beast. White Americans have sat on the sidelines time and time again as communities across the world and across the U.S have fought back and been punished for doing so. If ever there was a time to educate yourself (which is now easier to do than at literally any other time in human history.) about the realities of the future if you choose to remain defensiveness, the time is now. Your whiteness will not save you. Better to have fought for something and lose than to have stood on the sidelines complaining about how hard it is to fight and lose anyway! If you feel large defensive emotions bubbling up inside you- confront those feelings. Engage with them. #leftist #democrat #liberal #fyp #usa
