This is a popular speed drill we do at the gym… The idea here being that he’s trying to create as much force and speed as possible without any benefit from the stretch shortening cycle. Basically we are trying to not stretch the rubber band but we are trying to increase force production through quick fast twitch force application. Very easy to do with any club in your bag. It may also help the sequencing of how the body is supposed to move through impact. I like the feeling of trying to turn my chest into my lead arm. You could apply it by using it at the end of your practice session, but trying to hit a short iron for distance or supplementing it in to driver swings. Five reps of pelvic punch and then five all out driver swings. That’s always make sure to track your numbers. #mytpi #tpi #fitness #athlete #palmbeachgardens
