Today we remember Brandon Lee.
He would have turned 61 today.
On March 31, 1993, during the filming of The Crow, Brandon Lee tragically lost his life due to an accident on set involving a prop gun that had been improperly prepared. He was only 28 years old, with just days left before the end of filming. His death deeply affected the cast and crew, and shocked the film industry.
With the blessing of his family, the film was completed in his honor.
“Because we do not know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. And yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you cannot conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four, or five times more? Perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless.”
