BRWhat a joy to watch the phenomenal cast of “The Wild Party” go at it for the Encores! Presentation at @nycitycenter last night. Leading the wild pack is triple threat @jasmine_amy_r whose Queenie is both cynical and hopeful as shown by her tender moments with @jelanialladin as Black. Their duet “People Like Us” is emotional highlight of this @michaeljohnlachiusa musical.
Tony winners @adriennelwarren as Kate and Tonya Pinkins as the washed-up star Dolores give the jazz-age, roaring 20s show pizzazz. Stars of @gildedagehbo Jordan Donica and @claybourneelder meanwhile offer not just their unparalleled talent but also, and most especially, the beefcake. The dancing, the costumes, and of course the orchestration are top notch. The company came prepared. When the premise is in the title itself, one should only expect a rowdy night at the theatre. This ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ romp delivers far more than that. “The Wild Party” runs until March 29.
