This incredible nonprofit provides custom, hand-tied wigs at no cost to children experiencing hair loss due to medical conditions like cancer, alopecia, burns, and other health challenges. These wigs are more than just hair — they’re tools for restoring self-esteem, confidence, and normalcy in a child’s life.
💇♀️ Thinking of donating your hair? Here’s what you need to know:
✅ Hair must be:
• Minimum 12 inches
• Clean and dry
• Free of chemical damage (natural hair only)
• Tightly secured in ponytails or braids before cutting
✅ All hair types and textures are accepted — curly, straight, gray, or even previously cut hair (as long as it meets requirements)!

1. “I want to donate, but I’m not sure how to cut it properly.”
✂️ Solution: Work with a trained professional familiar with hair donation guidelines (like me — I’ve helped many clients donate successfully!). I’ll make sure the process is smooth and meaningful from start to finish.
2. “I don’t have 12 inches to give, but I still want to help.”
💡 Solution: Fundraise or sponsor a wig. Each wig costs Wigs for Kids around $1,800 to make — every dollar makes a real difference.
