TOVisit it at subwaystatus.live — a new TTC tracking tool created by a local Torontonian who couldn’t find an easy way to visualize service disruptions and planned closures in real time. The platform, called Toronto Transit Live, uses a live map to show exactly where subway service is currently suspended or delayed, using clear colour-coded alerts so riders can instantly understand what’s happening.
It also helps commuters plan ahead by displaying upcoming scheduled maintenance and weekend shutdowns before they happen. The site is free, open-source, includes an iOS widget for quick home screen access, and is already integrated with the Line 5 Eglinton Crosstown layout.

OLToday we went back to take a ride on Line 6 Finch West during a normal service day. Rode from Finch West to Humber College, hopping off at various stops to get some photos and videos.
Line 6 shuttle buses were still running alongside the LRTs.
Some cars we rode operated faster, while some seemed to crawl along. As everyone else has said, traffic signal priority would improve the service greatly. Also I think the frequency of the service definitely needs a bit of improvement, up to 12 minute waits at some points.
Overall I am glad to see more rail service in the city, as I find rail much more comfortable to ride.

R1Got fined on the TTC streetcar this morning even though my PRESTO shows I paid before they checked my card.
They scanned my card after I tapped, but still issued the ticket.
Meanwhile another passenger was causing a disturbance and wasn’t even checked.
Does this make sense?

Fare inspectors have a new name, but what does this all mean? In 2023, the TTC Board debated giving fare inspectors more power against transit users. In the same year, the TTC ended its "Taps before Tickets" approach of giving riders an opportunity to pay before handing out fines, and instead chose to return to harsher enforcement.
TTCriders' Rebeena Subadar shared why the new renaming is a cause for concern.
Riders should not be punished with $425 fines over missing a TTC fare. A fine could mean not making rent or being unable to put food on the table.
Invest in reliable service, friendly frontline staff, and affordable fares, not P.O.O.!
