#VogueOpenCasting is back! You’re invited to enter our global model search that will discover, encourage, and showcase a new generation of models embodying a modern ideal of beauty. Submissions are open from August 4 through August 25, and later this year, a selection committee of Vogue editors, stylists, casting directors, and other industry professionals will choose one finalist who will be featured in a major editorial moment with Vogue. “Models, like designers, are to be found everywhere today, and so many, like Alex Consani and Paloma Elsesser, were discovered through their social media presence,” says Vogue's Anna Wintour. “It’s going to be exciting to see how the Open Casting feature on our Vogue app will give access to so many more people, and that’s the beauty of modeling now; it’s a celebration of individuality. I’m looking forward to meeting the next generation of faces who will define today.” Femme-identifying individuals 18 and older can access the Open Casting Portal exclusively on the Vogue app in all countries where it is available. Introducing the #VogueOpenCasting class of 2023: Mars (@ma.rs.k), Dulmi (@ayanodulmi), Rania Benchegra (@raniabenc), Rayan El-Mahmoud (@rayan.elz), Colette Kanza (@itsbinkina), Cynthia Machava (@regii_cynthia), Abrar Mohamed (@xabrarm), and Mengyao Wang (@wang030530). This past May, Vogue launched #VogueOpenCasting, a global modeling initiative aimed at discovering new personalities that reflect the world we live in. Prospective models—with or without agency representation—were encouraged to send in their photos, and within three weeks Vogue received more than 60,000 submissions. The eight finalists you’ll meet here—and who will be featured in forthcoming Vogue videos documenting the project—come from Accra and Marrakech, Tokyo and Paris, Los Angeles, Johannesburg, Henan province, and London. I’ve always inspired many person around me by my aura and the confidence i exude. This casting is an opportunity for me to inspire young people, especially young black men and women.
