NAI was having a great conversation the other day with a Zumba instructor and she said to me how sometimes as an instructor it gets hard trying to balance life, keep the classes fresh for students and keep the motivation at times!
To every instructor I think it’s important to know you aren’t alone ❤️
I have a group chat with some people I consider like brothers and we hold each other not only accountable but we keep each other uplifted because the truth of the matter is “Burnout” happens at times! Sometimes we do lose motivation! But sometimes you just need a person or a group of people that is in your corner reminding you why you do what you do!
As an instructor, we spend time either creating choreo or learning choreo. Going to jam sessions, other classes and events to learn. We take certifications and trainings to improve on our skills and sometimes your students will never know that!
But from instructor to instructor please if you’re reading this just know, I’m proud of you! All the hours, sacrifice and time you put in, not to get applause but to serve your community, please use this post as a reminder that your hard work and dedication matters and you deserve all the flowers in the world 🌎 ❤️

SH“As a child, I was always an athlete, sprinting at 5am with my dad cheering me on, competing in 100m and 200m races, long jump, and basketball. My parents were my biggest supporters, never pushing back & always encouraging me to chase my dreams. That love for sports shaped me, and now I pass it on to my own children-my daughter, a basketball champ, and my son, who loves cricket and golf. My husband and I support them just as my parents supported me.
After 15 years in corporate HR, life changed. My husband’s frequent travel and raising two kids made me pause. My health was deteriorating… diabetes, thyroid issues, and a ligament tear. Doctor after doctor warned me about my lifestyle. One even told me, ‘You have to choose between your career and your health.’ That was my turning point.
I returned to fitness, first as a Zumba and Aqua Zumba instructor, then as a personal coach. I started running marathons, organising sports events for my community, and even working with NGOs to bring sports to underprivileged kids.
My experience with students is what keeps me going. I’ve seen women over 40 double their stamina. I’ve helped young doctors break unhealthy habits & watched women transform their confidence and health, just by giving themselves a chance.
Winning the Mrs India Gold category and a Fitness Influencer award were milestones, but my real reward is seeing lives change. Whether it’s walking the ramp at Times Fashion or leading a Zumba class at the Marriott, I do it to show what’s possible at any age.
My message is simple: fitness is for everyone, at any stage of life. Even 20 minutes a day can change everything. If I can do it, so can you-let’s rewrite what’s possible, together!”
