Comment SKIN and I’ll send you the links to these products directly! Different skin symptoms need different ingredients and using the right actives makes all the difference. Skincare isn’t one size fits all. Your routine should be based on what your skin is actually doing. If a skin condition persists or worsens, always work with a board certified dermatologist to build a routine that supports long term skin health.

🤔⬇️Acne scars don’t stay for months because your skin is stubborn. They stay when skin keeps getting irritated. After a breakout heals, the surface needs time to smooth out. But when you keep: scrubbing switching products layering strong actives skin stays inflamed instead of refining. Inflamed skin: holds redness longer keeps texture uneven repairs more slowly So the scar looks “stuck.” What actually helps is lowering the pressure. That means: no aggressive scrubbing no constant over-layering no chasing faster results When skin isn’t stressed, it rebuilds more evenly, tone starts balancing out, and texture softens gradually. Scars don’t fade from force. They fade from calm consistency. That’s smart skincare. Save • Share • Follow for more clarity. #america #women #beauty #skincare #acnescar

I’m 40 and I’m an esthetician. This is how I get pillow-plump skin on my non-retinol nights. Not every night needs strong actives. A few nights a week I focus on hydration and barrier repair so my skin stays calm, glowy, and bouncy. This is the routine I used in this video: Step 1 — Cleanse Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm Step 2 — Second cleanse La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser Step 3 — Hydrating toner Byoma Brightening Toner Step 4 — Barrier mist Aestura Atobarrier Cream Mist Step 5 — Retinol alternative KORA Organics Plant Stem Cell Retinol Alternative Serum Step 6 — Eye cream INNBEAUTY Project Extreme Cream Eye Step 7 — Mist again Aestura Atobarrier Cream Mist Step 8 — Barrier moisturizer Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream Step 9 — Seal everything in KORA Organics Noni Glow Face Oil These recovery nights are what help keep my skin hydrated, calm, and pillow-plump. Save this for your next non-retinol night routine. Follow for esthetician skincare + elevated everyday style. What if the key to clear, strong, and balanced skin lay in the synergy of four essential actives? 🔬 Salicylic acid works deep within the skin to unclog pores, refine skin texture, and help reduce the appearance of imperfections. Ideal for achieving smoother, more even-looking skin. 🧬 Peptides support the skin’s natural structure. They help maintain firmness, elasticity, and bounce, for a complexion that looks visibly more dynamic and radiant. 🌿 Azelaic acid helps soothe redness and even out the complexion. It brings comfort to skin prone to sensitivity or irregularities, while promoting a clearer appearance. 🧈 Ceramides strengthen the skin barrier, lock in moisture, and protect the skin on a daily basis. The result: less discomfort, more softness, and skin that’s more resilient against external aggressors. Together, these actives create a true balancing routine: purifying without stripping, soothing while strengthening, and hydrating with respect for the skin. A complete approach for healthier, calmer skin… and simply more beautiful 💫 Very important: This video is for informational purposes only and does not replace a medical consultation. This is very common, and no, it doesn’t mean skincare ruined your skin. What usually happens is this: When people start using actives like exfoliating acids, vitamin C, retinoids or acne treatments, the skin becomes more sensitive to UV damage. If sunscreen isn’t used properly or consistently, tanning and pigmentation show up faster. It’s not the actives. It’s actives + poor sun protection. A few things that actually matter: • Use enough sunscreen Two finger-lengths for face + neck is a good reference. • Timing matters Apply sunscreen 15 minutes before sun exposure so it forms an even protective film. • Reapplication is non-negotiable Reapply every 2–3 hours if you’re exposed to daylight, especially near windows or outdoors. • Direct sun needs extra protection Hats, sunglasses, scarves and shade work with sunscreen, not against it. If you’re using actives and not doubling down on sunscreen, your skin will tan faster. If you’re confused about what actives belong in the morning vs night, comment “routine” and I’ll send you a clear ingredient list so this doesn’t happen again. #sunscreens #sunprotection #skincare #vitaminc #retinol

Top tips to repair your skin barrier👇 1. Completely stop using actives eg retinoids, exfoliants, vitamin c until your barrier is healed - even if you are using a retinoid for acne you should stop until your barrier is healed because a damaged barrier can cause breakouts and you need a healthy barrier first to effectively treat acne 2. Stick to a simple routine including a gentle cleanser - don’t use any harsh cleansers, scrubs or peels these can further damage your barrier 3. Use a barrier repair cream until your skin is no longer tight, flaky, dry, peeling or stinging (see my post from 22nd Nov for best barrier creams and 25th Nov for best for acne) 4. If barrier creams break you out use lighter barrier repair products like toners and serums instead 5. Wait till your barrier is healed (this can take 2-6 weeks) before introducing exfoliants and retinoids again and when you do be super cautious (start with only x1 product 2x per week and increase as tolerated - it’s also best to start with a gentle active like PHA or a low % retinal). A big cause of barrier damage is using actives that are too strong for your skin, using them daily or even using multiple actives at once when you don’t have the tolerance (and maybe never will) so you need to start low and slow to avoid damage and see what you tolerate Let me know if you have any questions in the comments ❤️ #damagedskinbarrier #skinbarrierrepair #skintok #barrierrepair #acne #skinbarrier #acnetreatment #retinol #skincaretips #dryskin #winterskincare

Something I think the brow industry is really starting to notice lately is that skin grazing is happening a lot more than it used to and it’s not because brow techs suddenly got worse at waxing. It’s because our clients’ skincare regime has completely levelled up. They’re using stronger actives, exfoliating more and their skin barriers are often already compromised before they even get to us. So the way we wax has to evolve too. That’s why I love the philosophy behind Saint & Serenity. They create products for brow techs that are designed to work together as a system. Second Skin supports the barrier first, creating that protective layer between the skin and the wax and then Divine Glide performs best over properly prepared skin. So you’re not just protecting the client’s skin… you’re supported as the brow tech doing the treatment too. Always making sure that when your client sits in your chair they’re in safe hands. Products used: @saintandserenity Second Skin Suede, Divine Glide Pearl and Skin Blur. #ad #insafehands #browwax #saintandserenity
