@slurrpfarm Millet Noodles is overall okay to be given as it is for babies above 1 year (once or twice a week). It has all good ingredients with the only concern being it’s Sodium content (275mg in 50g serving) for which the RDA is as below- 7-12 months : 370 mg per day (most of it is derived from BM). So if you’re following WHO guidelines to not offer salt to babies below 1 year, then PLEASE AVOID! 1-3 years : 800 mg per day (so this noodles would make a little more than 1/4th of this). That’s why it can be offered once in a while like any other packaged food. Also, it does have Rosemary extract and other stabilising agents to increase the shelf life of food. And anything that increases the shelf life of food (even though natural) is deemed to be called A PRESERVATIVE! And it’s fine because you won’t be able to have the convenience of tearing a packet and giving noodles to your baby if it wasn’t for these safe preservatives. I just feel that the brand should not write PRESERVATIVE OR ADDITIVE FREE. How would I offer it to my 14 MO? I do offer these noodles once in 7-10 days to my daughter but I used 15-20g of a serving and add double the veggies to it. For better taste, I add a little bit of ketchup (from @feed.smart) and some oregano and pepper. I also crush some paneer or offer a boiled egg alongside to make it perfectly balanced. 😇 Any questions, drop in a comment and tell me which baby food should I review next?
