Amazon’s cloud division Amazon Web Services reported a temporary shutdown at its data centre in the United Arab Emirates after objects struck the facility, triggering sparks and a fire that forced authorities to cut power. The incident comes as regional tensions escalate following Iranian missile and drone attacks across Gulf nations linked to the wider US-Israel conflict with Tehran. AWS confirmed that one Availability Zone was affected, while other zones continued operating normally to limit service disruption. Connectivity restoration may take several hours as safety inspections continue. While no direct link to the strikes was confirmed, the episode highlights growing risks to digital infrastructure in key hubs such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi. #amazon #aws #amazonwebservices #uae #dubai

Iranian drone strikes have physically damaged Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centres in the UAE and Bahrain, causing widespread disruption to online services across both nations. In the UAE, two out of three availability zones were hit – a rare situation. When that happens, the impact doesn’t stay in the data centre. It extends far beyond the data centre and directly into the apps people rely on daily. Mobile banking apps and other platforms, including Careem, have been significantly affected. Because the damage is physical rather than a technical glitch, AWS has warned that restoration will take time and has advised customers to migrate their data to other regions, such as Europe or the US. Mar 5,2026: The sixth day of the US Iran conflict, Mearsk suspends all cargo shipments to Middle East , Amazon data centres hit by drone strikes. now as conflict spreads, attention is shifting from oil to a more immediate risk: water. Heavy reliance on desalination plants leaves Gulf nations vulnerable, raising fears that attacks on infrastructure could threaten drinking water for millions. This is pure speculation and should be treated as that.

Amazon Web Services has officially confirmed that one of its data centers in the UAE was struck by unidentified “objects” on Sunday, triggering a significant fire and localized power outages. While the company has not attributed responsibility, the timing of the incident coincides with a broader wave of retaliatory strikes launched by Iran across the region. The attack marks a dangerous escalation in the evolving conflict landscape, as critical private-sector digital infrastructure appears to have become collateral damage. Data centers form the backbone of cloud computing, powering everything from banking systems and government platforms to e-commerce, fintech, and enterprise services. Any sustained disruption could ripple across multiple industries, affecting regional business continuity and digital operations. Emergency crews reportedly worked for hours to contain the blaze, while contingency protocols were activated to reroute workloads and minimize downtime. However, questions remain about the vulnerability of commercial tech infrastructure amid intensifying geopolitical tensions. If verified as part of a broader strategic campaign, this incident signals a troubling shift — where economic and digital assets are increasingly drawn into kinetic conflict zones, amplifying both financial and cyber risks. #AmazonUAE #CloudOutage #MiddleEastCrisis #Geopolitics #DigitalInfrastructure BreakingNews Follow @worldbillionaires.11 for more updates

In a devastating escalation of the ongoing regional conflict, a major Amazon data center in the United Arab Emirates has reportedly been bombed, marking a dangerous shift toward direct attacks on global tech infrastructure. This incident signals a new phase in the conflict where not only military and government targets but also private sector assets and international digital networks are coming under fire. Eyewitness visuals circulating online show a towering plume of black smoke rising into the sky, visible from miles away, indicating severe structural damage and widespread fires inside the facility. Emergency crews rushed to the scene to contain the blaze, but authorities have yet to confirm the scale of hardware destruction, potential data loss, or whether any personnel were present at the time of the strike. The uncertainty surrounding the operational impact has raised alarms across the global technology and financial sectors. This attack follows a series of escalating strikes across the UAE, including reported hits on commercial districts, naval installations, and residential towers, highlighting the widening scope of targets. Analysts believe that striking a high-value cloud infrastructure hub may be a calculated move aimed at disrupting regional connectivity, digital services, and critical backend systems relied upon by businesses worldwide. An attack on such a major cloud facility could potentially disrupt websites, banking operations, logistics networks, and enterprise services that depend on uninterrupted data access. With modern economies deeply reliant on cloud ecosystems, the implications of even temporary outages could ripple across multiple industries far beyond the Middle East. Amazon has not yet issued an official statement regarding casualties, service disruptions, or recovery efforts. Meanwhile, local authorities have sealed off the area as investigations begin into the type of weapon used and the origin of the strike. Security forces remain on high alert amid fears of follow-up attacks targeting other infrastructure nodes. The broader situation continues to deteriorate as the conflict between the U.S.-led coalition and Iran intensifies, with
