It’s time for my favorite archeology site to ever exist to get its spotlight. You know the Valley of the Kings tombs we hear about so much? Deir el-Medina is where the people who BUILT THOSE lived. It has provided an inside amount of texts, which are usually the focus of my personal research. We know so much about the people who lived here including the exact houses some of them lived in. People who study this site (me included) often describe the inhabitants as our friends since we know so much about them. This is the largest noble tomb ever discovered on the West Bank of Luxor. It is called Saff tomb (a tomb with a pillar facade and a courtyard in front). It is 55 meters long and have 18 entrances. You find a lot of beautiful scenes from the everyday life, hunting, bird catches and a lot of more! It is really amazing!

No pottery today.�Only death shafts, limestone, and the gentle reminder that humans have always been like this. No Laws. Just Stairs and Shafts.
