Anxiety at night time can look like… ➡️ overthinking ➡️ racing thoughts ➡️ fear and worry Here are some tips to better manage your anxiety at night: ➡️ Create a routine. About 20-30 minutes before you go to bed, do something that feels calming and relaxing. Even if it’s something as simple as listening to soothing music while closing your eyes. ➡️ Do a “brain dump”. Write down all of your worries before you lay down to go to sleep. You don’t need to solve all of your worries- you just need to allow your mind to take a break from ruminating on them ➡️ Use visualization. Imagine a calming/relaxing or safe place or person and envision it in as much detail as possible. Take your mind to a place that feels comforting ➡️ Use touch for self-soothing. Wrap your arms around you as if you’re giving yourself a hug, rub your arms up and down, or gently caress your arm or your hand. Not knowing why I was having these thoughts. Not knowing what to do about it. Not knowing if anyone else felt this way too. And looking back I have empathy for my younger self who had to struggle with these big feelings all alone This topic doesn’t get talked about enough! we’ve come so far ❤️‍🩹 I truly feel like a completely different person. I was the girl who was anxious before school, constantly late from throwing up in the AM. Growing up i didn’t know i had anxiety the doctors thought it was stomach problems. I was put on medication at 18 or 19 and got off before the new year of 2024. After being on it for 5 years i felt very mentally numb and wanted to see if I could control my anxiety without medication. I’m very thankful i was able to come off of it. SSRIs are very hard to come off of and the withdrawal symptoms were worse than anything I’ve ever experienced. I thank God everyday for answering my prayers and healing me. I no longer get sick or have chest pain that i used to deal with so frequently. 🙏 #anxietyrelief #zoloft #anxietyhelp #anxietyattacks #anxietyawareness #godisgood #godheals #jesussaves

Anxiety attacks can cause SO many different symptoms. Some of them may feel obvious (like a racing heart, shortness of breath, feelings of extreme fear)….while others may not feel so obvious. This video demonstrates some of the “silent” way that an anxiety attack might manifest. If you struggle with anxiety attacks, please know that you are not alone and they are very common. 🙏🏼 During an anxiety attack, here are some ways to cope 👇🏼 ✨Stop resisting the feelings. Give yourself permission to feel anxious. It actually passes MUCH quicker this way. ✨Focus on the environment around you. Tap into what you can see, smell, and hear. Mindfulness can help remind you that in this moment you are actually safe. ✨Be kind to yourself. Beating yourself up for feeling anxious will just lead to more stress and then likely more anxiety. Tell yourself that it’s okay if you’re feeling anxious right now, and that you will give yourself the time you need in order for it to pass.
