Breeding ball pythons is exciting… but it’s not something you should jump into without a plan. In this video, I break down what you truly need to understand before breeding ball pythons — from creating a business plan and choosing the right genetics, to budgeting, husbandry, marketing, and long-term vision. Breeding isn’t just pairing two snakes. It’s: • Understanding recessive vs incomplete dominant genes • Planning your projects years in advance • Setting a realistic budget • Being prepared to house and feed hatchlings that don’t sell right away • Building your brand before you ever produce your first clutch This is a long-term investment — not a quick flip. If you’re serious about getting into ball python breeding, this video will help you avoid common mistakes and start the right way. An $8,000 ball python that never got to take its first breath 😞 This is one of the hardest parts of breeding ball pythons, or any animals, and something that never gets easier, no matter how long you do this. Unfortunately, this extremely rare baby didn’t make it out of the egg. I don’t have an answer as to why, and that uncertainty is often the hardest part. What hurts the most isn’t the dollar value, it’s the fact that this was a dream animal of mine. One I worked toward, envisioned, and planned to keep here for the long run. Moments like this are absolutely crushing, and it’s a side of breeding that most people never see or talk about. I’ll be honest, this one really broke my heart and made me question everything. But at the end of the day, working with animals means accepting both the highs and the lows. Just because it didn’t go the way I hoped this time doesn’t mean the dream is gone forever. We learn, we keep pushing forward, and when the time is right, we try again. 💔🐍

Watch this absolute legend casually feed a whole army of ball pythons like it’s just another Tuesday! In the clip, rows of these stunning (and surprisingly chill) snakes are housed in individual drawers lined with rice—probably for humidity/absorption—and the handler opens them one by one, dropping in prey while the pythons strike with lightning speed. Some go straight for the meal, others play hard to get, and at least one seems to tag the guy's hand... but he doesn’t even flinch. Pure composure. Ball pythons are known for being relatively docile compared to other constrictors, but handling this many at once in such a setup takes serious experience (and nerves of steel). The rice layer helps maintain the perfect moist environment these African natives need, and the drawer system keeps everything organized—though some viewers felt bad seeing them "locked in drawers" . Others were just amazed at the handler's vibe, comparing him to a Viking warrior who’s unfazed by fangs. This is reptile keeping on another level—whether you're into snakes, exotic pets, or just wild animal content, it’s mesmerizing and a little intense. Questions flying in the replies: Why rice? (Humidity control + easy cleanup.) Why so many? (Likely a breeder or large collection.) What happens if one gets hangry? (We saw a mini bite and zero drama.) If you love creepy-crawly thrills, nature’s predators, or just content that makes you say “how is he so calm?!”, smash that like/RT. Tag your snake-fearing friends—they need to see this What’s your take? Brave or bonkers? Would you ever try feeding one? Drop your reactions below!
