DRStudents don’t waste time because they’re lazy — they waste time because they’re following the wrong blueprint…or worse, they don’t have a plan at all.
If I were starting over, here’s what I would NOT do:
❌ Wait for someone to tell me when to start
❌ Chase random activities just to stay busy
❌ Assume grades alone were enough
❌ Delay clinical exposure until college
❌ Copy the traditional pre-med checklist
Instead, I’d focus on understanding medicine before trying to sell myself as a future doctor.
That’s what separates confident applicants from stressed ones.
