Glen Powell says he was almost concussed while filming the stock exchange stunt with Tom Hardy's Bane in The Dark Knight Rises (2012) in his tiny role as finance bro, which has resurfaced this year amid his rise as a leading man: "Bane walks into the stock exchange and just slams my head into a computer. The stunt that we had prepared is that Tom Hardy is supposed to tap me on the back before he slams my head on the computer keyboard. One take he forgets to tap me on the back and just slams my head on the computer. I was kind of dazed. I was like, Oh s–t, I don't know if I have a concussion or what. Chris [Nolan] was like, 'Can we do it again, just like that?' I was like, 'Yeah, yeah, we can do it again just like that.' He was like, 'I'm kidding! Go to the medic.'" Powell acknowledged that the cinematic moment is one that he fondly remembers, and he has a lot of pride in it as a title on his filmography: "As far as Dark Knight Rises goes getting my head smashed in by Bane, I’ve talked about that for years afterwards. If nothing ever happened in my career, at least I got my ass kicked by Bane." This is just a preview of what’s to come. We prepped for a little over two months with our costumes, finding a set location and sending each other reference materials and ideas. This is the second time we’ve ever hung out and done work together and I love these two people! My best friend Alex came out to help and was an amazing addition to our crew as well as the staff and friends our friends from Atlanta and the studio that were there. People often get into this stuff for fame or financial gain but for us that’s never been our goal. Would it be nice if we had a tip bucket to help us on sets yes! However it’s not something we worry about we just plan better. Every project you see is self funded by all of us and planned out ahead of time and collaborating with other artists and venues. This studio location provided us with extreme hospitality and extreme professionalism all the way to its core! I can’t tell you what an outstanding time it was to film this today! It was a childhood dream of mine brought to life with people I really love working with!!! #batman #batmanofcharlotte #bane #cosplay #clt
