Here's your honest cheat sheet. I've helped hundreds of people start using AI. And they all make the same mistakes in week one.
What WORKS on Day 1:
→ Summarize anything (paste an article, get the key points)
→ Brainstorm ideas ("give me 10 angles for X")
→ Rewrite your emails (sound professional in 5 seconds)
→ Explain like I'm 5 (any complex topic, simplified)
What DOESN'T work:
→ One-word prompts ("write marketing" = useless output)
→ Trusting it blindly (AI hallucinates — always verify)
→ Expecting perfection (first output = rough draft, not final)
→ Overcomplicating it (start simple, build from there)
Here's a 5-minute test you can try right now:
"I'm a [your job title]. My biggest challenge is [X]. Give me 5 specific ways AI can help me solve this TODAY. Keep it practical. No theory. Just actions."
Paste that into ChatGPT or Claude. You'll be shocked at the output.
