SIAshy Drongo (Dicrurus leucophaeus) is a sleek, agile songbird found in forests, open woodlands, and urban parks across Asia. Recognized for its distinctive forked tail and sharp calls, this species is an expert flyer, often seen chasing insects in mid-air.
Appearance: Plumage is uniformly ashy-gray, with some regional variations in shade. Tail is long and deeply forked, often fanned out during flight. Eyes are deep red, giving it a striking gaze. Breeding: Builds shallow cup-shaped nests in trees, using twigs and fibers. Clutch size is typically 2–4 eggs. Both parents participate in incubation and feeding the chicks.
Vocalisation: A mix of harsh calls, whistles, and chattering sounds. Known for mimicking other bird species.
