Hips like movement (fluidity) and strength, which means manual manipulation can often help with muscle tension. It’s the biggest ball-and-socket joint in our bodies. It does a lot of work for us every day, especially if you’re a pro bodybuilder or athlete, the muscles can get extremely overused and tight. My suggestion is: If you train a lot, make sure you move your hips in all planes of motion, consistently. Most of us overuse their hip flexors by keeping them in one position for too long (like sitting, driving or a lot of walking - sagittal plane) and not doing any other movements such as frontal or transverse planes of motion. Jokes aside (but no this is not a joke, my elbows are my favorite feature 🥲) learning to use my elbows is what has allowed me to develop epic bodywork stamina. Multiple days a week I do 6-8 sessions per day~ people always ask if I feel tired at the end of the day and the honest answer is no because 1) my clients are amazing and they genuinely energize me, and 2) because I’ve learned to work so efficiently and ergonomically ~ and learning to *hone the powers of the ‘bows* is a huge part of that. ~ I can’t believe I’m saying this, but you guys … my elbows actually have some internet haters 😂 Some people have told me it’s “contraindicated to use the elbow in certain techniques,” and have proceeded to tell me they hope I have malpractice insurance. (Especially funny because these comments are on techniques that I did with one of my NFL players who has flown me out multiple times to work on him because nothing else was able to release his psoas until I got my elbow in there🫠) ~ Anywho, IN DEFENSE OF THE ELBOW, just because it CAN be a more heavy handed working tool, doesn’t mean it HAS to be. You can do very gentle work with the elbow ~ and in fact, I actually feel and sense tension better with my elbows at this point than with my fingertips. ~ You MUST use the bows with a lot of nuance and attention to detail, and when you do it will save your own body and allow you to do epic bodywork. Something I hear almost every day during sessions: “Wow… I didn’t realize how tight my arms were.” Usually followed by: “That feels so good.” The arms do far more work than most people realize. Nearly every upper body movement involves the biceps, triceps, brachialis, and the forearm flexor and extensor groups. Typing, gripping, lifting, climbing, training, and even driving keep these muscles in a constant state of low-level contraction. Over time this can create dense, shortened tissue through the forearms, upper arms, and into the shoulder complex. Ashiatsu works especially well here because slow, broad compression allows deeper layers of muscle and fascia to release gradually without the body guarding against the pressure. The result is a deeper, more restorative release through the entire arm. #athleticrecovery #offseasontraining #sportsmassage #barefootmassage #bodywork

In pursuit of a perfectly flat panel ..this is the system that worked well for me. Starting with 400-grit wet or dry sandpaper on a 16-inch block, I apply guide coat over the high-build primer and sand evenly to expose low areas. Once sanding begins to cut through to the epoxy primer, that’s the stopping point. At that stage, I’ll either reapply high-build primer or address deeper lows using polyester finishing putty (Icing). After curing and leveling, the process is repeated with another guide coat and sanding session.. ideally the final step before paint. Короткая и безопасная схема: 1️⃣ Не начинай с боли Сначала расслабь источники: шея, трапеции, зона между лопатками, грудные мышцы. 2️⃣ Шея и трапеции Тёплые руки + масло, медленные поглаживания и мягкое разминание. 3–5 минут — и плечо отпускает. 3️⃣ Лопатка Медленно вдоль края лопатки, с дыханием. Выдох усиливает эффект. 4️⃣ Грудные мышцы Мягко под ключицей, без боли. 2–3 минуты — и плечо само уходит назад. 5️⃣ Плечевой сустав Только после расслабления. Медленно, без рывков. Если боль резкая, с онемением — массаж не делаем, нужен врач. Важно: боль в плечах — это чаще стресс и перегрузка, а не травма.
