Rock and Roll Hall of Fame producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are intrinsically unique with trendsetting originality. Both were born to be rebellious within the structure that their music careers have provided.
Their offbeat independence proliferated through the successes of many artists of our time. Jimmy Jam might have inherited this remarkable quality from his jazz/blues father, James “Cornbread” Harris, Jr. who performed well into his 80’s. Or maybe it’s that both Jam and Lewis’ shared exceptional perception of women translates into number one chart toppers for female performers.
They personally know of their own intense passions in relationships and the equally important intense work ethic ingredient for continued successful record production. Progressive mindsets keep this duo together. They need variety to keep themselves busy, with a wide-range of friends and, most especially, with finely-tuned minds for what the next trend may be so that their next artist can win big too!

^ note: mark brown, better known by the stage name brown mark (also styled brownmark), is an american musician, bassist, record producer & visionary. he joined prince's band in 1981 for the controversy album recordings. one of his earliest shows with prince was opening for the rolling stones (there’s an entire story behind them opening for the stones, maybe later). as aforementioned, he remained with prince & was a member of the revolution band for the purple rain, around the world in a day & parade albums, contributing bass & backing vocals. additionally, he contributed to the music for the aborted dream factory album that later became a significant part of sign o' the times. now if you got this far reading, thank you! feel free to share our content in your instagram story & tag us so we can show you some love in gratitude.
