@patrycjaio What is Bun? In 2022, former Stripe developer Jared Sumner released Bun. Bun is a runtime developed in the Zig programming language, which also embraces web standards but aims for compatibility with Node.js APIs, so developers can easily migrate existing code. One of the most interesting choices is that Bun uses the JavaScriptCore as its engine, unlike Node.js and Deno, which use V8. The result is a blazing fast runtime that also offers several quality of life features for JavaScript developers. Bun also has first class integration of TypeScript and JSX. It aims to provide many of the features of transpilers, like Babel, and Bundlers like Webpack, Rollup, Snowpack, and Vite. Will Bun overtake Deno and challenge Node.js for its throne? We’ll have to wait and see. Bun will at least, like Deno, show off many innovations that Node.js can adopt while carving out a space of its own. Either way, it’s a big win for JavaScript developers everywhere to have another runtime in the space. At the time of writing, Bun is still early in its development with many APIs and features not yet implemented. However, what is available so far is quite impressive, so it’s worth keeping up with. The smell alone is pure comfort 🤍 Ingredients: • 500 g flour • 250 ml warm milk • 1 egg • 2 tbsp sugar • 1 tsp salt • 7 g dry yeast • 50 g butter How to make: Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast — let it sit for 10 minutes. Add egg, melted butter, salt, and flour. Knead until soft and smooth. Let the dough rise for about 1 hour. Shape your buns, add your favorite filling, and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes. Simple, cozy, and incredibly 🤍 Save this recipe & try it yourself!

It’s been awhile since I posted a bun drop ✨ This was filmed last spring 💐 And I thought I would give a little hair update: . My hair is currently past my bum, and I’m contemplating trying to cut an inch or two at home by myself. (Is this a bad idea? Haha). 💇‍♀️ I have been keeping it in protective hairstyles to protect it from the cold winter air (twisted bun secured with a claw clip when inside, and tucked into a hat with a silk bonnet underneath when going outside)❄️ I’ve been doing lots of oiling treatments to keep my hair nourished and healthy. My favourite oil to use is the @bluebeautifly Amalaki scalp oil serum (you can use my code “holistichabits15” for 15% off) 🙏🏼 And I have been washing my hair about once a week during the winter months, since I find its less oily in the winter. I switch between my @calianatural shampoo and conditioner and my homemade herbal shampoo recipe (which I have a YouTube video on). So pretty much same old, same old for me! Also, I’m wanting to test out some new heatless curls ideas. But right now my hair is so long and heavy I don’t think it would hold! #longhairproblems ✨ Hence why I want a haircut 😜 .
