Sin embargo, debes aprovechar todas aquellas actividades que no te molesten y seguir con ellas. 🧊 Aplicar frio sobre la zona te puede ayudar a combatir el dolor. Puedes aplicarlo varias veces al día durante 20 minutos. 🏋🏽 En cuanto a ejercicios, no parece haber ejercicios específicos para esta patología. 👉👉Told to stop running because of hip bursitis? This is one of the most common diagnoses I hear from runners with pain on the outside of the hip. And while bursitis could be part of the picture, it’s rarely just an “inflammation” problem. Most of the time, outer hip pain is really a compression and load tolerance issue. That’s why things like rest, icing, stretching, or taking time off may help temporarily, but don’t create lasting change. In fact, constantly sitting with legs crossed, sleeping on your side, or doing endless pigeon stretches can sometimes make symptoms worse by continuing to compress an already sensitive area. For many women, there’s another layer here too. Hormones play a role in collagen health and tissue recovery. Changes during perimenopause and menopause can affect how well tendons and connective tissue tolerate load, which can make this type of pain more persistent if training and recovery aren’t adjusted. In some cases, properly guided hormone replacement therapy can be a helpful part of the overall plan alongside strength and smart training. This doesn’t mean you’re broken, and it doesn’t automatically mean you need to stop running. It means your plan needs more context. Strength, load management, recovery, and individual factors matter far more than a label. If you’ve been resting, stretching, or taking breaks and this keeps coming back, there’s usually more going on beneath the surface. 👋 DM me HIP if you’ve been stuck in the cycle of never ending hip pain and looking to get back to running.
