THIS SHOULD HAVE MELTED…. If you cannot decide between a vanilla sheet cake or a chocolate sheet cake, make this one. It is my Vanilla Chocolate Flecked Sheet Cake it is made with finely grated dark chocolate, and it is so delicious. I fold in the finely grated dark chocolate at the very end, and even though the cake bakes for 30 minutes, the little chocolate flakes stay totally visible after baking. The secret is using a real dark chocolate made with cocoa butter. I use dark chocolate with 66% cocoa butter If you use compound chocolate or a cheaper chocolate made with vegetable oil, the chocolate melts in a different way and the result will not be the same. You will not get those clean, pretty chocolate flecks, and it can look more smeared and feel more greasy instead.

Banana Pudding Cake hold the bananas 😂 **Ingredients:** - 1 cup Cool Whip (optional) - Sweetened condensed milk - 1/2 block cream cheese (optional) - Vanilla wafers - 3 oz banana pudding - 3 oz vanilla pudding (can substitute with banana pudding only) - 1 box yellow cake mix - Oil - 3 eggs 1. Follow the instructions on the cake mix box and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. 2. While the cake bakes, prepare the pudding according to the instructions on the box and set aside. 3. In a separate mixing bowl, combine half a can of condensed milk, 1 cup of cream cheese, and 1 cup of whipped cream. Mix until smooth, then fold it into the prepared pudding mixture. 4. Reserve a small portion of the pudding mixture to top the cake later. 5. Once the cake is done baking, let it sit for 5 minutes before poking holes all over the surface. 6. Pour the pudding mixture over the cake, then add sliced bananas and crushed vanilla wafers on top. 7. Drizzle the remaining pudding mixture and condensed milk over the cake. 8. The difference between a recipe success and recipe failure could lie within 1 mis-measured tbsp of sugar. Measuring ingredients properly is imperative 2. Don’t over-mix, don’t under-mix Whether a recipe calls for mixing batter with an electric mixer or simply using a whisk , make sure you ‘re mixing the cake batter toghter” JUST UNTILL” the ingredients are combined. Over mixing batter lends to a tough-textured baked good. 3. Don’t Open the Oven Dont open the oven 25 times as the cake bakes. Made at my by my little chef :) which makes them extra sweet :) baking is such a complete activity for these little minds - it teaches them measurements (math), new words (ingredients lists) and also develops hand eye coordination and fine motor skills (pouring, levelling, sprinkling). Most importantly, as the cake bakes in the oven, it teaches them patience - and if you can wait for your labour of love, the rewards are going to be extra sweet (quite literally in this case) #mommyalchemy (baking teaching patience STeM activities for kids exactly science learning through play)

This light sugar coating will immediately start breaking down the fruit’s cell walls and then, in the oven, it draws out the juices and creates a hot syrup that gently poaches the fruit inside the cake. The fruit will soften more quickly as the cake bakes, giving you tender, juicy, almost jammy pieces – especially with stone fruit and berries. This method also works particularly well with apples and pears. However, if your fruit is already very ripe or delicate, too much sugar or letting it sit for too long can turn it from soft to collapsed.
