Many of us initially rush into lectures. That’s our first mistake. If you’re starting CFA Level 1, get the foundation right first: • Understand basic finance • Learn how the three financial statements actually connect CFA isn’t about finishing videos. It’s about understanding concepts well enough to apply them. A few things that actually matter: • Multiple revisions are non-negotiable • Practice portal questions early. Reading and solving are very different skills • Start tough subjects like FSA, Fixed Income, Quants and Derivatives early. They need time • During revision, highlight concepts where you get stuck. That’s where marks are lost Use tools like AI to simplify concepts when things don’t click. Understanding > memorising. This approach builds you for CFA Level 1, not just the exam, but the thinking. I’ll share more quality resources once we hit 1k. If you want this CFA series to continue, let me know in the comments. Cracking the CFA Level 1 exam in a single attempt is no easy feat, but with hard work and determination, it can be done. Here are some tips to help you prepare for the exam: 1. Clear your base, for eg: Start with alternative investments then derivatives followed by portfolio management, fixed income, equity & lastly quants etc. As now you know how to use calculator. 2. I kept quants at last because by the time you reach till quants, the first chapter is time value of money where we have to calculate PV, FV etc which we’ve already done in portfolio & fixed income. 3. Start ethics ( try to solve 10-15 mins every day) and FRA from the beginning as it contains vast information. Also don’t give ethics separate time. 4. Make sticky notes for each chapter in your own words for the revision part. 5. Do blue boxes & know the meaning of every highlighted word. of the curriculum as well as schweser notes. 6. Keep revising once you’ve done with a particular subject as you might forget in the span of 6 months. 7. Last but not the least try to learn every subject in a practical manner. Remember, passing the CFA Level 1 exam is a marathon. Stay focused, stay determined, and never give up on your goal. With the right mindset and preparation, you can crack the CFA Level 1 exam in a single attempt. Read caption 🖋️ Start preparation at least 6 months before the exam. Step 1: Chapter-wise learning • First, watch the lectures of one chapter. • Take proper notes. • Do the questions which the tutor solves in the video. Step 2: Book reading • Then move to book reading either Schweser or CFA Curriculum. • Don’t use any other material. I personally used Schweser. • After reading, move to the CFA Institute Learning Ecosystem and solve questions there. • In the beginning, your percentage may be low, but don’t get demotivated. Step 3: Sticky notes & revision • After that, make sticky notes for the chapter. • Note down things which you feel can come in the exam. • This step is very important because the syllabus is huge. • Revise regularly using these sticky notes. Step 4: Syllabus completion • Try to complete the entire syllabus 60 days before the exam. Step 5: First revision • If you’re a Level 1 student, I’d recommend watching FinTree crash course on YouTube. • Revise the syllabus once again. • Read the chapters again. • Solve Learning Ecosystem questions once again. • Complete your first revision 21 days before the exam. Step 6: First mock • Give your first mock. • Analyse it properly. • Identify your weak areas and weak subjects. Step 7: Second revision • Start your second revision. • Try to revise one book in one day. • Focus on learning and understanding. • You can watch the crash course once more. • Do a small number of questions daily (20-25 from that subject is enough). • Focus more on weak subjects and weak topics which you feel are highly likely to come in the exam. Step 8: Second mock & final revision • Give your second mock 7-10 days before the exam. • Analyse it again and identify weak areas. • Revise once more. • Try to do 30-40 questions daily. Pro Tips: • Do Ethics revision daily in the last 21 days. • Wake up early in the morning because the exam is in the morning. • If you’re a night person, change your routine at least 20 days before the exam. 📌 For Level 2, I used ChatGPT to create sticky notes focused on the most testable areas. Comment “PROMPT” and I’ll DM it to you. #cfa #cfalevel1 #finance #cfalevel2 #cfaprogram

❌ CFA is useless if you think CFA alone will build your finance career. Hard truth (from someone who’s been there): Clearing levels ≠ getting hired. In 2026, finance roles demand CFA + execution skills. If you’re serious about a career in finance, you NEED to pair CFA with 👇 1️⃣ Financial Modeling (3-statement, DCF, comps) 2️⃣ Advanced Excel (not basics—real analysis) 3️⃣ Valuation frameworks that recruiters actually test 4️⃣ Power BI for dashboards & insights 5️⃣ Tableau for data storytelling 6️⃣ Equity research & report writing 7️⃣ Basic Python or SQL for finance analytics 8️⃣ Business + industry understanding 📌 CFA gives you theory. 📌 These skills get you interviews. 📌 Together, they build careers. I’ve put together a clear roadmap + trusted resources so you don’t waste time jumping between random courses. Comment CFA I’ll share the complete strategy and resources directly with you. #financialfreedom #finance #stockmarket #viral #fyp

People don’t fail CFA Level 1 because of difficulty… they fail because of how they prepare: • Inconsistency You study for a few days, then stop… and that breaks your flow. Consistency matters more than long study hours. • Not prioritising high-weight topics Spending too much time on low-weight areas. Ignoring topics that actually carry marks in the exam. • Only relying on coaching notes & questions Just reading or solving what’s given to you. And skipping curriculum end of chapter questions & mocks — which actually prepare you for the exam. • Skipping proper practice Avoiding curriculum questions, question banks, and mocks. That’s where real exam prep actually happens. Study smart, not just hard. #cfalevel1 #cfalevel2 #cfa #cfaindia #cfaprep

1. Plan before you start 📈 Don’t randomly watch lectures. Break the syllabus into monthly and weekly targets so you know exactly what to study and when. Consistency beats intensity. 2. Study smart, not everything equally 📚 Subjects like Ethics, FRA, Equity & Fixed Income deserve more time because they decide your final result. Low-weight topics should not eat up your schedule. 3. Practice from Day 1 ✍️ Reading alone won’t clear CFA. Solve end-of-chapter questions and mocks regularly so you train your brain for exam-style thinking and time pressure. 4. Become fast with your calculator ⏱️ Master your financial calculator shortcuts early. In CFA, speed + accuracy can be the difference between passing and failing. 5. Revise more than you study 🔁 In the last 6–8 weeks, focus on revision, mock analysis, and weak areas. CFA is a test of retention, not just understanding. Ethics is non-negotiable. 📤 Follow & comment <<CFA>> to get the entire roadmap. 📌Save this for later! #finance #cfa #study #mindset #fyp

How I studied ETHICS for CFA L1 Ethics is weird. You read it and think, “this is obvious.” Then you sit in the exam hall… and suddenly nothing feels obvious. The mistake? Memorising standards. But the exam doesn’t test memory. It tests judgement. So study it differently. Don’t ask “what does this say?” Ask “what is this trying to stop?” • Front running • Hidden conflicts • Selective disclosure • Misleading performance Once you see the behaviour, answers get clearer. And when stuck: Market > Client > Employer > You Do cases daily. Ethics = pattern recognition. If you can’t explain a standard in one line, you don’t understand it yet. And revise it often. Because in finance, you won’t lose your career over one formula… but one ethical mistake can. Save this before revision. . . . #cfalevel1 #ethics #consistencywins

The hardest part of CFA Level 1 isn’t understanding the concepts. It’s applying them under exam pressure. You can know every formula. Watch 500 hours of lectures. Understand everything. But if you can’t apply that knowledge in 90 seconds per question — with tricky answer choices and time running out — you’ll fail. Most people study for understanding. They don’t study for application. That’s the gap. I’ve made a breakdown on: ✅ How to practice for application (not just understanding) ✅ How to eliminate wrong answers fast ✅ How to think like the exam wants you to think Comment ‘APPLY’ and I’ll send it to you. Don’t just study. Study smart. #CFAL1 #CFAPrep #CFAExam #StudySmart #ExamStrategy CFALevel1 CFAIndia ExamTips TimeManagement ApplicationSkills
