SS❌ 10 things to stop your CLAWDBOT getting hacked!
1️⃣ Don't run it on your main machine — use a cheap VPS or Mac Mini. If something goes wrong, your personal files stay safe.
2️⃣ Never run as root — a limited user keeps hackers stuck in one room. Root access means they own everything.
3️⃣ Change the default port — it runs on 18789 and every hacker knows it. One message to change it.
4️⃣ Install Tailscale — makes you invisible to the internet but you can still access it from anywhere. Free.
5️⃣ SSH keys + Fail2ban — passwords get guessed, keys don't. Three wrong tries = banned for 24 hours.
6️⃣ Firewall with UFW — every open port is a door. Close the ones you don't need.
7️⃣ Allowlist your users — only you can message it. Everyone else gets ignored.
8️⃣ Ask your bot to audit security — "Check my logs for failed logins" and it does the work for you.
9️⃣ Set up real-time alerts — Claude monitors your server and messages you the second something's off. 24/7.
