Let’s talk about something a lot people drink every single day ☕️
Coffee.
I had NO idea until a few years ago that coffee is actually one of the most heavily sprayed crops in the world.
And I don’t say that to be dramatic, just informed.
Here are a few things that honestly surprised me:
• Coffee beans are often sprayed with pesticides + fungicides multiple times during growth
• Because coffee grows in warm, humid climates, it’s extremely prone to mold + fungus , hence why chemicals are heavily used
• Those residues don’t just magically disappear , they end up in what you’re drinking daily
• Conventional coffee is one of the top crops tested for chemical residue
And the crazy part?
People drink it daily.
Not to mention .. lower-quality coffee can also contain mold (mycotoxins), which can contribute to things like headaches, jitters, and that “crash” feeling so many people think is a normal thing that comes with drinking coffee .
Once I learned this , I changed things up!

DEMost people don’t think twice about their coffee… because it’s part of their daily routine.
I didn’t either … until I started learning more about how coffee is grown, stored, and tested.
Coffee is an agricultural product, which means it can be exposed to moisture during harvesting and storage. When that happens, mold can develop and produce compounds called mycotoxins. Sounds scary but here’s the important part: reputable companies test for these and keep them within safety limits.
The problem is… not all coffee companies prioritize the same level of sourcing and testing.
And once I realized that something I drink every single day should probably be something I trust, I started paying a lot more attention to quality.
