Growing another 99th percentile baby 🤍 Second pregnancy. Both babies 99th percentile. Planned C-section. Baby girl: 5.12kg (11.2lbs) at 39 weeks. This pregnancy wasn’t pretty. Morning sickness, gastro, two hospital visits, a chest infection and two fractured ribs in my third trimester. I felt like Bella from Twilight 🤣 literally breaking my body to bring her into the world. And honestly, I didn’t always feel that magical “bond” with my bump. The one you’re expected to feel. I felt miserable, disconnected from my body, and that guilt can be heavy. But the moment she was placed in my arms, I remember thinking: “I fought so hard for you. I will do anything and everything for you.” And loved her so deeply. Not every pregnancy is beautiful or comes with a glow. I found my glow inside her 🤍 #birthstory #pregnancyjourney #csectionmama

BIRTH VLOG 🩵🍼👶🏻 Leading up to this, I didn’t really have a birth plan. I just wanted a healthy baby/mama. As it got a bit closer and talking more with my OB, I really felt like I 100% wanted a vaginal birth and to increase the chances of that with a 92nd percentile baby, we opted for induction. I ended up being on Oxytocin for 27 hours and the epidural for 20 or 21 hours, which was a lot for my body, mainly felt after birth when my body was coming down from it all (that’s a whole other story lol). A few things I didn’t show, understandably, as I was in labor and dealing with a lot lol: - I threw up 3 times - I ate probably 5 freezies, drank a crap ton of water and had a hydrating IV in (because I couldn’t eat food after the epidural) which lead me to no real food for a whole 24 hours - I used a peanut ball a lot lying in the bed - I know this was definitely something that didn’t help, but I couldn’t move around, walk, get up to use an exercise ball etc Also, why does no tell you that after your water breaks, you continue to leak?!? Like hello lol I thought it was a one time thing and you move on 🤣 Friday morning I was finally at 9.5cm dilated and I was told we would start at 10am to push. By 11am, my nurse said “he should be here before noon!!” And I was like …. Girl I need to do this for another hour????? LMFAO. Truthfully, this was the absolute HARDEST thing I have ever done in my life. I was on so much medication for a lengthy time, was just lying down for over a day, hadn’t ate in so long. My contractions more or less were about 3 minutes apart and I would push in total for 30 seconds each contraction, for what ended up being 2 hours and 10 minutes total. I don’t even remember so much of it because I was truly SO exhausted. I remember saying in my head “I just want a c section at this point.” But, what I’ve learned from this experience is women are literally superhero’s. I don’t know how I got through it, so much of it is a blur, but I did it and I’m so fucking proud of myself. #laboranddelivery #induction #ivfpregnancy #birth #birthvlog

Fighting my pregnancy problems. #MyPregnancyStory Throughout the first and second trimester of my pregnancy I had been very healthy, it had been quite easy for me. No morning sickness, baby development was good, everything seemed smooth, and I was ready for my final home run! But once the third trimester hit, I started developing carpal tunnel syndrome, gestational diabetes, and at 34 weeks my blood pressure suddenly shot up overnight and I had to admit myself into hospital. Tests showed that my bile acids were very high, blood platelets low, and doctors worried that I might develop preeclampsia, which can be life-threatening for both myself and the baby. I was monitored in hospital for almost two weeks and by week 36 of my pregnancy doctors were worried that my situation might get worse overnight, so they decided that it’ll be safer for me to give birth as soon as possible. I really wanted to give birth naturally, so they had to try inducing me for labor. The induction was unsuccessful, and I ended up having an emergency c section. In the end, it was all worth it as I gave birth to my adorable baby girl 💕. #pregnancy #pregnant #momtobe #pregnancystory #preeclampsia #gestationaldiabetes #nunchucks #brucelee #martialarts #nunchuckgirl #mama #action

One of our most viral videos from 2025 💫 Last year, when I found out we were expecting just one baby I knew I couldn’t consent to a fifth c-section. I just couldn’t. My last 8 babies were delivered by surgery and I didn’t have a peace in my heart about having another surgery unless it became truly necessary. So, after lots of prayer and research, I decided to do everything I could to have the birth I wanted. I later learned it wasn’t just the birth I wanted, but the redemptive birth I so desperately needed. If you are in a similar place and are considering a VBAC, here are some things you’ll want to know as you prepare... 1. A supportive provider is everything. If you don’t have a doctor or midwife who shares your views on birth, you have a much less chance of achieving or attempting the birth you want. I couldn’t have done it without my midwife, Lucie @indueseason_birth 2. Your birth is your responsibility. Even when we have a great provider, a great place (home, hospital, or birth center) to have our babies, no one cares more than us! We need to be diligent and invest in our births. 3. Make educating yourself a top priority. 4. Hire a doula (beyond grateful for mine @saraannphoto 5. Eat well, hydrate and move your body 6. Release fear. I know for myself, recognizing specific fears and giving them to the Lord, was one of the best things I could do. We must look at the benefits and risks of the choices we make in pregnancy and labor. No birth is risk free. BUT, when we make the choice that is right for us, why not go forward in faith leaving fear behind and choose to trust God, our bodies and our babies. 7. Believe you can do it (with Gods help) and envision the birth that you want. Though this is last on the list, I believe it is the most important. God created to do amazing things. If you’ve had a Vbac, what would you add? If you’re trying for a VBAC, what questions do you have? If you are interested in reading my full birth story, comment BIRTH and I’ll send it your way! I pray it encourages you 🤍 . . . . . . . . .
