DA@torozambrano_ was at last nights Coachella Valley Unified School District board meeting, where layoffs were one of the biggest topics of discussion.
I spoke with Josefine Ortiz, an English teacher in the district, about the impact these cuts had in her and could have on employed educators and students. We talked about what she would say to board members, how her students and colleagues reacted to the news, and what her next move may be now that her position has been cut.
